    It's never been answered.

The Overmind never pulled it off, and Duran had to use a different method to make his hybrids. (So did Ulrezaj, in his various experiments.)

There was supposed to be an infected protoss unit that Blizzard worked on (created from infestor abilities) but it never materialized.

yes, and i read that terran, can only be infested marines and comand center, but i look video zerg reveal and there is a battlecruiser infested, barraks and marines.

so i just wana know which untis can be infested of terrans and if protoss will have infested terrans.

BUT IF ZERGS CANT INFEST PROTOSS, THEN The BEST WOULD BE IF YOU ARE:
    PROTOSS vs ZERGS
    ZERGS vs TERRANS

i hope you understnd what i try to say.

    The game keeps changing.

Corruptors can corrupt (not infest) air units and colossi.

The infestor used to be able to infest buildings, which would spit out infested marines. Unfortunately, now they just spawn them (with guns!) and that makes no sense. Until the game is out, the lore isn't set.

Corruptor was said to be able to Corrupt any air unit. Even all the ground unit that are subject to Anti-grativity spell. (If it still exists)

Yes, any air unit and colossi (as colossi can be targeted as air units).

Yes, they can hit an Anti-grav'd unit. (Anti-gravity is now a phoenix ability, giving them an indirect ground attack. Unfortunately, they lost Overlord.)

Blizzard really hasn't said anything about it. But the zerg should be able to, unless the protoss have some immuty against this. Which hasn't been said.

Lorewise it can be done since Razhagal* was infested in BW.
Let´s wait and see if we might be able to use infested zealots in mindless rage.

In the begining they said that protoss would be able to be infested but wouldn't the shields absorb the infester stuff it pukes out?, and if you took down the shields, it should spawn infested zealots but without the charge ability. wouldnt it take longer for protoss to be infested though?

On Raszagal: She was not infested. Kerrigan took four years to figure out how to properly infest a terran, and Ethan Stewart (said terran) still looks obviously infested. Raszagal was physically normal, and couldn't have passed as normal if she'd been infested.

Shields wouldn't have stopped the infestor's ability, as it didn't rely on damage. While a protoss might realistically have taken longer to be infested, that's an area where lore has to bow down to game balance. Blizzard planned on making the infested protoss "qualitatively" different than infested marines, but the whole infesting buildings idea seems to have vanished. :(

Yes well, as far as I can tell you, I don't believe you can infest Protoss. We'll have to find out fully when the game is released, or if Blizzard releases details on infesting Protoss (Not saying that they will, of course).

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to infest protoss. They just showed terran cause maybe they aren't done with working on infested protoss building/units. The corruptors will be pretty useless in protoss vs. zerg games.

err but wouldn't the shields block the puke/infesty stuff that the infestor "hurles at a building?
Corrupters can infest anything in the air. when an air unit is infested, it will stay in its place not moving while shooting projectiles at other units to damage them, then after a while they revert to the original player.

as for the infesting protoss buildings, they said you could but it never said what it would spit out.
Any infested building also wouldn't last forever, just spit out a set amount of units and revert to the original player after a while.

anyways, protoss buildings should spit out zealots anyways but slower than terran can.

I kinda like the idea of Protoss being infested but I think the shields would stop the infestors from infecting their buildings. Kimera757 also said Kerrigan took 4 years to infest Terran properly so think how long it would take for Protoss. They can't say suddenly Kerrigan learns how to infest Protoss.

Shields didn't stop Plague in StarCraft I, so I don't think that would stop infestation.

Oh really? What about Duran then? You can be infested and not change physically.

The overminds goal was to infest the protoss, and to become a perfect species by assimilating protoss into themselves. He/it just wanted to use terrans as a stepping stool to the protoss.

I don't think Duran was infested, but he was a Xel'Naga Ancient. I think?

Maybe, that is possible I guess. He did say something about being way older then the Admiral.

Oh, and the mods get really pissy if you quote the post directly above yours. Unless it is part of a multi quote, and you need to separate points.
