I read the sticky, and pretty much everything checks out pretty darn good. I exceed everything except when I click "display" and look it doesn't say "Geforce" or any of that it says "Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD" and then another one below says the same thing just "(Core i3)" added at the end. Will I be able to play SC2 fine ?

Laptop. That pretty much means get another laptop or play on a desktop. Hmm, I wonder if it's as unplayable as people say... This is something I'm going to have to research on my parents' Core i3-based HTPC once my SC2 copy arrives from Amazon. Surprisingly, Blizzard lists Intel Graphics in their support list.

*sigh* Should've used my parents' PC or my CULV laptop for Blizzard's beta opt-in instead of the i7-860+GTS 250. I'm betting if I'd used one of the crummy computers, Blizzard would have given me a beta key.

Honestly the previous guy cant tell if you can or cannot play as you have no put down specs the I3 core is good, how much memory does the laptop have and how much mem does the graphics card have its need 128mb and to be a 6600 geforce or higher. ( you do have a graphics card its one of those requirement, its just that intergrated cards are not rated on games as gamers don't use them) but since it is an I3 and this is a blizzard game it should work albeit on lower setting.

Intel GMA HD (i3-530) should be roughly on par with integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9300/9400 and ATI Radeon HD3200/4200 (AMD 780G/785G) which, in turn, are roughly on par with the Radeon 9800 PRO (SC2 minimum system requirement). As for the memory requirement, it's shared system memory. It varies depending on how much is allocated to it. I think mine has 256MB or 512MB allocated by default.

Is there a way I can just put in all my laptop specs into the forums so that some of you more tech savvy guys/gals could tell me if I'll be able to run it? I picked up this laptop about 5 months ago for WoW and it cost me 600 (Which for me is pretty expensive) I really hope this will be able to handle SC2

If it's able to play WoW, then it's likely it would be able to handle SC2 also. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if anyone here with access to the beta is using IGP. Your best bet is to wait for release when more people would be trying it on more diverse hardware. You could also try visiting laptop forums. You'd probably find more info from laptop-centric forums as most here would just tell you to get a "real graphics card".

PS. I have been looking around a bit more to see if I can find a graphics solution and have stumbled across "External graphics cards" for laptops....does anyone know much about these?

Thank you very much, I'm really crossing my fingers and hoping I can run SC2 with my current system. I just don't have the budget to go and buy a whole new computer. I will look into some other forums and continue researching. My end plan here to do the midnight pickup so I can play soon ! but that might not be in the stars

I really doubt you will be able to play well with an integrated card no matter what your other specs are.
