Can Mothership shoot while cloaking?

Can Mothership shoot while it's cloaking buildings? On the sc2.com it's not shooting, but maybe they pressed the stop command?

 

Unlikely. If you look cloesly the MS has a "casting" animation for the Cloaking field.

I dont think it can for the time when those zealots came by it didnt and it looks like it had to channel its energy to make the cloak field

If it could shoot while cloaked, that would be extremely powerful. Unfortunately, it could be too powerfull and that would cause balance issues in SC2, which would be disastrous to other players

I think that was why the programmers made it so it can't fire while cloaking; it would just be too good of a weapon

 

I am not sure but the Mothership was out of range so it wasn't shooting.

 

Gosh I really hope so if they do that the Mothership isn't even worth having in the game then if its that underpowered.

 

yes,the Mothership was unable to attack while cloaking other buildings.and that's...lame.i mean,the Arbiter could shoot while cloaking,but the most powerfull protoss starship cannot ?? WTH ?!?!

but it may be like josh said:it was out of range.but i am not really sure about it...

 

I think they were in range, but the ability to cloak is great. I do think it should be able to attack since the Arbiter was able to
