My computer is pretty old and not so great, and i already went to a website to see if i could run SC2 and it said i couldnt, but it also said that for some other games that i run pretty well. Unfortunately i only have 1GB of RAM (1.5GB required) and a 6150 Geforce LE graphics card (6600 GeForce required) everything else is good enough to play the game. So my question is, can i still run SC2 even on the lowest settings?
Only if you're fine with the game being extremely choppy (<10 FPS). If you have PCIe x16 slot available, even upgrading to a $30~50 GPU would show marked improvement. Intel's latest integrated graphics actually work better than what you have now.
Yeah, you'll want more RAM and to buy a graphics card if you have a slot to put it in. Run this to have a better understanding where else you may need to make system improvements.
Get another 1G of ram or 512mb x2 and then upgrade your graphics card, I have a 7900GS and I can run it on low, this card costs $30 bucks I believe. However your other computer parts must be somewhat decent as well as they may bottleneck your experience.
http://svc.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/ This website runs diagnostics for free on your computer. Very fast, very easy. I've used it to see how my computer would perform before SC2 was even released. I think it may even suggest better parts and components.
