A while ago this picture was released, showing a campaign upgrade tree with one of the bunker upgrades highlighted. (click for larger version)

The upgrade in the picture obviously gives bunkers 2 extra units worth of capacity, but I wonder what the other ones are, and if you guys have any good ideas for upgrades you would like to see in the campaign (remember, they don't have to be balanced for MP).

Here are my guesses for the icons seen in the pictures:

    SCV:
    1. Able to carry more minerals per trip or mine faster.
    2. Able to repair faster.

    Command Center:
    1. Mule Calldown or Orbital Command
    2. Defense Upgrade or Planetary Fortress

    Bunker:
    1. +2 capacity (duh)
    2. Armor or Health Upgrade

    Missile Turret:
    1. Range and Damage upgrade

    Auto-Turret:
    1. Armor or Health upgrade
    2. Range or Detector upgrade

    Marine:
    1. Stim Packs
    2. Ballistic Shield (+10hp)

    Medic:
    1. Restoration
    2. Optical Flare

    Firebat:
    1. Damage or Range upgrade
    2. DoT burning effect

    Marauder:
    1. ?
    2. Armor or Health upgrade

    Reaper:
    1. Stim Packs
    2. Fire based ability?

    Hellion:
    1. Increase RoF
    2. Increase Speed

    Cobra:
    1. Flare (gives vision in a wide area)
    2. Increase RoF

    Vulture:
    1. Spider Mines
    2. Damage Upgrade

    Medivac Dropship:
    1. Increase Energy Capacity
    2. Increase Armor?

    Vicking:
    1. Enable Transformation or Transform Faster
    2. Upgrade Ground Attack

IMO I think the bunker upgrade is sexy, as it will allow me to have 4 marine / 1 marauder bunkers. And I like the idea of not having to re-research all your upgrades every time you start a new campaign mission, and the fact that it gives you an opportunity to do some specialization in specific units and tactics.

I think you get to keep them. Well, at least most of them. As for the Reaper upgrade: d8-charges. Duh. ;)

But was this released on battle.net forums or the starcraft2.com site? Never saw it before, to be hones.

Here are my ideas, also the ones I agree with necromas on I left out.

    Command Center:
    1. Mule Calldown or Call down more Mules
    2. Defense Upgrade

    Bunker:
    1. +2 capacity
    2. Cloaking (Looks like the old cloaking symbol)

    Medic:
    1. Heal faster
    2. Optical Flare

    Firebat:
    1. Range upgrade
    2. DoT burning effect

    Marauder:
    1. Weapon Upgrade
    2. Armor or Health upgrade

    Reaper:
    1. Stim Packs
    2. Stronger D8 charge

I don't really think bunker cloaking makes sense, but yes it is the same icon.

    @ Bralbers
I think you have to research D8 charges before you can even use them, so the icon is probably for that. Besides, there is not a single other ability with an uprade. I would be suprised if the D8 charges get an upgrade.

Only a few months old, and until we get more campaign stuff we have to assume that it is still viable. Aurora I can see what you say about the D8 chargers, I'm thinking your right. As for what necromas said, I can see them allowing cloaking maybe, like make it one of the most expensive things to buy. It just means that when the computer attacks your base, they better have a detector. On second thought that sounds impractical. I'm probably wrong.

Thanks for supporting my opinion then. Cloacked bunkers are just weird, though.

    @GasMaskGuy
It may be old, but not that many changes have been made as far as basic Terran upgrades go. More like the individual units that got tweaked. -Yes, I completely ignored the Nighthawk there, but we already know almost everything about it.-

They probably have updated what you can buy for missions. This is probably mostly or completely updated. They probably won't tell us anything. We'll probably have to play the game ourselves.

    Probably.
But we can still guess, right? :p That's kinda what this forum is based on. Discussions and speculations.

And yet as far as I can tell a thread like this still hadn't been made.

    --------------------------------------

Let's move on to units not even on the chart, assuming they follow the pattern and each get 2 upgrades.

    Siege Tank:
    1. Siege Tech
    2. Increase RoF or Splash Area

    Thor:
    1. Mechanical Rebirth
    2. Increase Armor

    Nighthawk:
    1. Hunter Seeker Missile
    2. Titan Reactor

    Banshee:
    1. Cloak
    2. Apollo Reactor

    Battlecruiser:
    1. An upgrade to enable all 3 specializations
    2. Colossal Reactor

This was well before the perceived macro problem that led to the mule even existed, it won't be the mule calldown in the command center.

Oh yeah! The overmind is right the mule didn't exist yet. I wonder then what it could be?

Well it could be mule calldown now.

Maybe it was the supply bonus thing.

Supply thing was a tag along to the mule.

The command center upgrades were probably ability to upgrade to planetary fortress and surveillance station, both being merged into the orbital command well after this image was out.

I must agree with you overmind. But the orbital command doesn't attack. It just calls down stuff like more supplies, and the mull.

I think it would be ballsy to fly in a couple command centers and upgrade them to planetary fortresses right outside the enemy base for a contain.

I wonder how long they take to upgrade?

Yes, i am sorry. I had thought that both the planetary fortress and surveillance station were combined into the orbital command but apparently not.
