    I am looking to build a team of map makers and I need your help! It does not matter if you are a new to map making or a veteran of the craft! The team will help you to develop your map making skills! If you are interested in becoming a part of a map making team, post here!

    I can help too! Don't know much about it, but I'm a pretty good with the w3 editor. Maybe I'll learn something here.

    I told Imagine (earlier today) that you can create minerals - after the game has started. Lol i just put together a nice little scenario just to demonstrate how you can use that :p

    Thanks for the support everyone! This will be a SC, BW, and SC2 endeavor, though WC3 map makers are also welcome! I'll post up more details soon!

    If possible, I would like to shape this into some sort of activity boosting scene... if you catch my drift.

    I have some experience with making maps using the editors, mostly with wc3 though.

    I've done some melee maps, and learned some things along the way regarding good melee map design: expansion placement, creep camp placement, loot drops, the structure/connectivity of the map, sizes of areas and landscape features, etc.

    Also, I've made some dungeon rpg raid maps with custom heros and custom creeps. Here, I've learned about how to create a challenging but winnable game, and how to balance the different hero classes whilst maintaining distinctive game play for each of them. Also use of triggers and programmable events. I'm knowledgeable in computer programming so this stuff with the triggers is second nature to me.

    I'm not a map making expert, but I know I am much better at it than I used to be. If there's anything you would like me to advise on I'll be happy to do so.

    The idea is still alive! I just got distracted with trying to improve my section and other places. I'll have up team details in a bit.

    ME! I love making maps for valve, and I certainly would love to learn how to make SC2 maps!

    I am a pretty good map maker for sc1. does sc2 have a map making program yet, its only beta. I will join, why not. :)

    No its not out yet, its rumored to come out 2 weeks prior to release though.

    I've been doing various mods for different games. Mostly solo though. I have a terrible problem where I do about 80% of the work, and figure out all the cool fun stuff I want to do. By that point I never actually finish or release anything.

    I can do the functional stuff, but as far as 'making the terrain look pretty' I'm a total fail.

    Maybe working in a group is just the motivation I need.
