Blizzard has recently updated their twitter account revealing a new screenshot revealing the new Zerg single player unit, the Broodalisk!!

My my my this thing is uber.

If you look closely, you'll notice that this broodalisk resembles the appearance of a drone. The difference is they gave it length and legs to stand. I like how the devs are working in this single player campaigns. Not only do they give you a different experience, they also give benefit to map makers that will make custom games for various unit models etc.

Maybe the broodalisk is a the latter evolution of a broodlord eh? It somehow resembles that unit too. We need the Terrathron for this...

Hopefully it's just rearing up in that screen shot, otherwise I'd laugh every time I see that top-heavy monstrosity scuttling around the battlefield.

 

It "is" in campaign, but imagine how map makers could use it. I honestly cant wait to try out the editor, imagine like units riding on that thing. Ultralisks for that matter. What if you shrunk it down though, and made multiple units of that. I just think it would be plain sweet...

 

Hummm... Maybe that's what its for. Having an offensive units and mineral collector at the same time would be one hell of an idea. That way, those pesky fast-worker-raids would be utter squashed by this massive unit.

 

im going to ask by the way... is it really available only at the campaign mode?

Haha! I was expecting there to be a new unit that was an evolution of the Broodling. You should really fix that Seradin

From the Terratron to the "living" Protoss statues; and now this creepy bugger...
The campaign really is looking like they are indeed making the trilogy because of a huge epic scope rather than the cash grab so many people accused them of.

 

What planet are they on? It looks a little creepy with the vine things with thorns coming out of the ground.

Mid right of the picture there is a cliff. It looks like the creep is dripping off. When did they add that effect? It's a pretty cool effect. Makes everything seem more Zergy and gross looking.

And the burning buildings? At least I think there burning buildings/destroyed buildings.
