They do! Now we know why Reapers do well against Immortals: all units attacks are reduced to 10 dmg when facing Immortal's shields. Thus, units that already have that number as their current dmg won't be affected. And so, when facing immortals, the best counter is someone with a dmg close to 10 that hits very fast. these are the ones who will make more dmg onto them, in opposition to slow firing units such as Siege tanks.

They also show that the Colossi have an extra shield to upgrade. And that the Dark Obelisk has the same HPs as a Barracks.

Marines in SC1 used to do 5 dmg in a fairly fast rate. I suppose they still do it in SC2.

Observers then are in another tech branch. You can now choose to go detector and rely on Stalkers/Colossi besides the obvious Zealots. Or you can go Templar and try to sneak a Dark Templar into the enemy's economy, and hope the enemy doesn't get observers. Or you could go directly to air, and hope the enemy doesn't get a DT.

Protoss Tech-tree has become a huge Rock-paper-scissors game. Air branch>Robot-branch>Templar-branch>Air-branch. VERY nice! ;-)

Yay, I these posts really helpful. What is with the observer? They look so different I have only seen the icon and I already think it looks cool. Depends on how big it is though.. It looks bigger but there is nothing to compare it's size to because.. There is nothing else in the screen shot.
Terran commander: Well, I believe we should start out assual--
*Bumps into a giant invisible wall.*
Terran commander: Like I was saying if we make our....
*Gets assualted by a protoss fleet the day before they're attack.*

yeah he did go to BlizzCon and he probably did have a camera - he's not hiding it, he was one of 5 from our humble little forum to go

either he was joking in the first post or he was browsing another site and found some pictures that we don't have posted here.

What protoss ground unit CAN hit air?
    Zealot-No, Immortal-No, Collosus-No, Dark Templar-No.
What can? Can the Stalker? If not, Protoss have a serious problem.

Stasis Orb, Stalkers, Phase Cannons, High Templars (with Psy-storm). I even suppose the Twilight Archons might do it too.

Anyway, I'm with you about Protoss ground not beeing made to face Aerial units in the field. But since the Terrans don't have much air-ground besides the Banshee, and Phoenixes own air units with overload, I suppose that won't be a problem. Just add some Stasis orbs/ Mom-ship's time bomb, and the Overload will kill everybody.

That is why you never put pheonixes alone. Give some ground support and pheonixes are for weak units. Use warp ray for battlecruisers, colosuses for weak ground units, zealots to kill off survivors, imortals support for heavy units, carriers just to mass flying zergling everything, an observer or two for gues what? Detecting!
