Blizzard will be at G/C Convention in Germany.

I don't know if this is old news or has already been talked about. But I think this is pretty interesting because Blizzard will be at G/C Convention in Germany which takes place at August 23 through 26th.

The website is in German, but you can change the setting to English at the top.
This is only less then a week away so those who doesn't know, keep an eye on Blizzard during those days.

Hopefully, more SC2 info will be released and maybe, we get to see some new Zerg Screenshots.

PS: I may sticky this to the news section if we learn anything new about SC2 at G/C Convention.

Edit: Also confirmed that SC2 will be playble at G/C Convention. But it is unknown if it will be the exact same version as the BlizzCon version.

 

Only 1 week away then. Still seems a little too early for Zerg, if they were indeed in the concept phase when Blizzcon took place.

 

If they are going to show Zerg at G/C, I believe that it won't be a gameplay video like what they did with the Terrans and Protoss. They will probably release some screenshots and have some Zerg units and perhaps, some buildings in it.

It would be sort of like what happened at E3 when Blizzard released a bunch of screenshots while we all speculate.

 

They'll most likely release a couple of screenshots and leave us to speculate like Ych9 said. They exhausted quite a bit of info at Blizzcon. Although I still think that Zerg are a lot more developed than they tell us.

 

i hope that zerg info is released really can't wait any longer....Damn u Blizzard leaving the best race to be revealed last *shakes fist* Although that is their plan (to make ppl more excited)

 

dont set your hopes to high, gencon was only a couple of days ago and blizzard only showed off the same build of sc2 that was at blizzcon

But I still believe they will probably release some new screenshots even though if it doesn't show any Zergs. G/C is a huge gaming event and it takes place in Europe. Blizzard will probably do something special for those European fans that never had a chance to see all those Blizzard events in NA and Asia (WWII and BlizzCon).

 

Hopefully they'll have some new info on the zerg (starts praying now) ;D

 

They will reveal Zerg when they feel it's appropriate to reveal Zerg. Which may take some time. At best.

Anyways, i for one does not want them to spoil everything ahead like they've done with Protoss and Terran, i know we got to provide feedback and opinions regarding the units... but...

I would think that they would wait until the Zerg are very far along (like the Terran and Protoss are now) before they reveal any new units or mechanics. If I were them, I would want to blow people away on the first reveal, and screen shots would not be enough to do this. I would wait to make a gameplay video and blow them away with a more completed look at the Zerg.

 

I agree GrahamTastic. I think Blizzard will take that approach.
In that case, I think Blizzard will have an updated SC2 demo to try out at G/C Convention with new balance changes. Perhaps, we will see the old Mothership back.

 

I hope Blizzard show more of terran or protoss if the dont reveal zerg...

 

It is quite likely that they will show new stuff, but I won´t hold my breath on Zerg infos.

 

I just really want blizzard to give us that damn demo!!!

Some interesting note:

1. Terran buildings in the red zone loose hp faster.
2. The Siege Tank and Thor had a line of sight circle so if a enemy unit or buildings were in the line of sight circle the units could fire at it. This is a cool feature since you can now set your siege units at max range.
3.. Zerg will be revealed really soon....

I never recalled Blizzard saying anything about Terrans been revealed very soon in the past. I remembered they would say, we will release the Terrans in the future. But now, they are using this, "Really soon," quote. How soon would this be? If I am not mistaken, it would be alot sooner then we expected. It won't be a large 3 month gap of unknown info (Which is like WWII and BlizzCon seperation).
