You're probably right about the iPhone, they're really getting powerful. But still, most phones have a long way to go before they could match a normal computer. Not to mention the crappy controls...
I have an iPhone, it IS the best cell phone EVER, but I can assure you, you can't play anything other than silly games on a cell phone... Race games, perhaps.. Every single game I tried, I deleted immediatelly... Even 3D shooters with good graphics and all... You cant play confortably even on the huge touch screen of the iPhone. Lost Vikings is a better bet than WOW. Rock and Roll Racing would be cool, too!
Wlck, do some google search.. the company that it said to port wow already made a 3D mmo for mobiles, Second Life. Why it's so hard to go to google.com then search world of warcraft on mobile phones.. and voila!?!?! And btw, there is a MMO (Shadow of Legend... again.. make a search, if ur not to lazy!) that works on mobile phones, PDA and computers, and u can interact with any1 playing the game, no matter he is on smartphone or on PC!
Just because you CAN put an MMORPG on a cellphone it does no mean taht you SHOULD! That's what I meant. If you was not lazy to read my entire post, you'll notice I didn't say you can't, or that MMORPG games doesn't exist on mobile platforms. I say they are not enjoyable... Playability is crippled.... visibility, etc....
Stop calling people lazy... If you want us to look at your silly google sites then link them ^_^ Also that shadows game is total garbage. It made me want to throw myself off a building.

That would totally be awesome Blizzard went back and added ports or even dumbed down version of their game! -- (Diablo would actually work out rather well!) But until that day, Ill be happy with UniWar! -- Its like a mix between Avanced Wars with StarCraft. -- It comes with the three races (Totally remind me of Terran, Protoss and Zerg!) and online muliplayer! Ive been hooked on this thing all month!
*Sigh* Wick, you really should keep first posts without speculations in threads like these. It doesn't say anywhere that Blizzard wants to make a game for any phone, or eve for a PDA. Now everybody is only discussing that. If they meant a phone, they would have specifically said that. This could very well mean that Blizzard is looking into the possibility of publishing on a portable console. And with that I mean devices such as the Nintendo DSi, PSP, etc. It sucks to be Microsoft now. If this advert is for real, they might miss the first mobile game made by Blizzard. On the other hand, this might just be a market research tool. Blizzard knows that fansites look out for this stuff. Jurt place an advert on the site and there you go: free research. Now they only need to do a google search and find hundreds of polls. No expensive marketing and research companies required. Almost every major developer does this, and most of us here should know better.

Sorry, I consider the whole idea ridiculous. How can you possibly play StarCraft on a phone screen, even a big one as the iPhone's? I can see no way that would be plausible. I am sure Blizzard could port it to the mobile platform, but the question is: Should it?
