Its been a few days since I have bought the game and this issue is REALLY bugging me. Blizz haven't replied to any emails yet and so i have decided to come to the forum to ask some help.

Whenever I run SC2 it starts the Blizzard Downloader to update to patch 1.01, at this point it loads to 16% and then stops. Soon after it tells me "tracker not responding" and disconnects my network from the internet.

Take a look at My FAQ and read the question on "Q. I keep receiving the error ‘multiple problems saving data’ when patching, what can I do?" This will let you manually download the patch.

*Edit* question has been changed to "Q. I am having an issue with the patcher, what do I do?" Combined serveral patcher questions.

After installing the patches I got the error: "Cannot connect to battle.net"

    To fix this go:
Click on Start, and then Run.
    Type regedit and click Ok.
Click on the + icon beside the HKey_Current_User branch.
Click on the + icon beside the Software branch.
Select the Battle.net branch and press the delete key.
Click on the + icon beside the HKey_Local_Machine branch.
Click on the + icon beside the Software branch.
Select the Battle.net branch and press the delete key.

This should also fix the updater error.

Interesting. Does that write new battle.net settings?

I believe so, i checked regedit after and they are back again. I noticed patching issues with WoW only started with the integration of battle.net as well.

    It worked so im happy.
Thank you very much for the the help
