Hi, i've scoured the internet for 2 days now and cannot find a fix. I installed the game on thursday when i bought it. Got to the patch update part and stopped dead at 7%, killing my connection. I restarted my computer and router and re-opened starcraft II. It remembered it was at 7%, but again killed my connection. So i un-installed and re-installed. It got to the patch update part, got to 40% this time, and killed my connection. It says something about not being able to find a tracker, i would check, but everytime i start starcraft it kills my connection. so a few questions. #1 How does it kill my connection? If i don't restart my computer, simply re-booting the router doesn't work #2 Does anyone know how i can solve this? #3 Is there anywhere to just manually download the patch and install it? I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to port opening/forwarding. So if anyone thinks this is the solution, could you help me out with what i do? i have a D-Link, DI-524. I used to update WoW fine, but i've not played it for over a year. Thanks for any help. Really appreciate it
See my FAQ here. You can try the manual patch download method, or update your router to open the additional ports required by StarCraft II vs WoW. I'd try opening the ports first, all the info is in my FAQ.
ah thanks i can't try the manual update though because i'm in the uk. not sure how to open and ports n stuff.. will take a look though
Yeah, if you get the GB patch files downloaded, rar or zip them to me and send them to my email thexev[at]gmail.com PLEASE! lol
