From what I can tell, they're still working on it. And I am assuming you're talking about the SC2 map they announced at Blizzcon 2010, so:

    Moved to the appropriate forum.

I enjoy Hero Attack, but that's probably because the maker of it is a member of this forum. >.> But really. It's fun.

I hope they will include things from their old games too like The Lost Vikings and Rock n' Roll Racing. They will probably keep to their three major franchises for the main stuff but we can always hope for easter eggs.

Play Hero Attack! (see the giant thread about it in this forum) The hero attack community is really growing recently and I intend to add a lot of new content very soon.

The current Blizzard custom maps are fairly popular, considering their distinct genres and that they only cater to a handful of people. DOTA is popular so I think it'll be a success.

The current blizzard custom games are only popular because they bypassed their own popularity system and stuck their maps on the front page even when they were not popular.

That's how they became popular but that was merely a good start. I think if they were stopped being featured at the top they'd still be competitive with maps like marine arena. Which, btw, needs a total of 2 brain cells. A few of my mates and I play some random custom maps from time to time and 9 out of 10 has bugs and banal mistakes in them, and I mean bugs that could easily be fixed if the authors actually playtested their own creation. Hence, I think featuring the Blizzard maps is good because it sets an example for our current sloppy mappers. It just irks me that 99.99% of the mappers make maps for the sake of making maps, not to create quality work that they could be proud of. Quality over quantity, please.

Yeah and if ithe maps were never posted on the front page for months, they would have never become popular. That's how the popularity system works. People only play front page maps (or occasionally page 2 maps) because they are popular and they expect them to fill up quickly. Doesn't matter how well made or fun a map is if the map is on page 10 so cannot get a full lobby.

There are plenty of well-made custom maps that would also become insanely popular if they were placed on the front page for a few weeks. Unfortunately they will never reach the front page, so will not recieve enough visibility to become popular (let alone have enough players to fill up a lobby). It's too bad because the result is that the incentive to create maps is very poor, which has caused the majority of map makers to quit map making.

Anyway, my point is that the blizzard maps are only popular because blizzard bypassed their own popularity system. If a map maker created the exact same maps as blizzard, they would have never become popular.
