Blizz purposely didnt release sc2 this year

Blizzard purposely didn't release Starcraft 2 this year because they wanted it to be game of the year. Well, Halo 3 would be their rival. Which would have been more anticipated?

 

That's one of the lamest theories I've ever heard... -_-

 

Starcraft 2 would be more anticipated, and they didn't release it this year because they're not even close to being finished. Blizzard obviously wants their game to be game of the year, they have to keep up their track record especially with such a huge game as SC2. I'm guessing that it'll be out in '09 considering that it's not even in alpha, regardless of what other games may be coming out at the same time.

 

i dont really like that theory... blizzard will get game of the year dont worry, this game has been anticipated for a loooooong time. Halo is great and all, but blizzard would not seriously be worrying about competing with haloe, i think that they just want the best game possible. and look at what Wrathbringer said, it not even in alpha, so how could they delay it for next year if its not even complete?

 

That theory is like saying a crack addict won't take crack because meth is the best selling drug that year. Just no... Blizzard has its reason. Believe in Blizzard!
