Hiya, Been looking around and I can't find the same problem as I've got. I can be playing for hours or 10 mins it seems to be random on single player and online. The screen goes black (looks like my monitor goes to sleep as the power light starts to flash) and I have to wait for about 5 mins when the game comes back and continues as if nothing has happened. Sometimes it seems to tab out to windows then back into the game. Single player it's just annoying but multiplayer I lose the game I guess becuase the game thinks I've disconnected. I've updated my grx drivers but still has a problem. I don't think it's a heat issue as my system is water cooled. I've also turn catalyst a.I. Off as someone said that might be the problem. Anyone have this problem or ideas on how to fix it
It doesn’t include the graphics card but I have 2 x 120mm fans blowing over it. I'll check the heat tonight when i get home but I would be surprised is that was the problem. The game does seem to be demanding on the cards. I have an ATI X1950 PRO running the setting on default (high and medium for different bits). I haven’t had any trouble with games like Crysis which i believed were alot more demanding. I’ve also seen so posts about application running in background (virus checkers etc etc) which i’ll turn off tonight. Just seems a bit odd that it come back to life after a few mins. If it was heat I would expect the PC to freeze and need restarting which im use to back in my overclocking days. I’m leaning towards a software thing either game or background app problem. The saga continues....
