    Inside Sin thinks Bullet for my Valentine is an emo band. They are not, they are a metalcore band. Just cuz their "name" kinda sounds emo, doesnt mean their emo.

    "Emo" as... A genre of music? No. They're definately Metalcore, but their theme is pretty damn "Emo", I have to say. Not only in the name, but a lot of their songs and lyrics have to do with heart break, unrequited love, being cheated on, that sort of stuff, so I can easily see how people would just slap said label on 'em.

    Genre wise. Even with the name and some of their lyrics, it still doesnt make em emo. Does lyrics with "heart break, unrequited love, being cheated on" make a band emo? i thought it was about killing/cuting oneself, and hates life.
    Pop-punk has alot of "breakup relationship" lyrics, that doesnt make em emo. Sum 41, Yellowcard, Blink-182, Simple Plan ect ect.
