Hi guys, im new to the forums. Just got starcraft 2 beta, its pretty sweet. I was wondering, if i pre-order the game from gamestop, 1) Will i get a beta key and be able to play online, and 2) Will i get a free key so me and my friend can play together?
Wait, You got the starcraft 2 Beta without a Key? Or you got a Key then downloaded the Beta? Yes If you pre-order it from gamestop they will supply you with a Beta key.
no my friend gave me a torrented beta that can only run singleplayer maps. if i pre-order from gaemstop, will i get TWO beta keys? one for me and one to inite a friend?
I know that they give you a Beta key for you but I'm not sure if they supply you with an extra one. I'm not 100% sure so I can't say.
I can't promise anything but since installing my beta version around the end of March I've gotten 3 extra beta keys from Blizzard as part of their "invite a friend" program to bring more players in and test friend features. But I don't know know if they will continue doing that every few weeks, and I don't know if it is different for people who got a key though a pre-order (I've played Blizzard games for a long time now and got mine through signing up to test their betas several years ago).
yeah i hope they give me at least 1 key cuz my friend reeeeaaallly wants one. also, i have another question (for people who have played the beta) once me and my friend BOTH get the beta, can we play in a room together? like can we be on a team? or has a "friends" system not been set up yet..?
Guys, this is getting a little out of hand with the duplicate threads. Please search the forums before posting a new thread. Just because you have a question regarding the beta doesn't mean you have to go with a whole new thread.
Agreed with the above. Just pick an existing topic from someone you think will give you a good answer and ask your qiestion there.
