It will be for free, im 100% sure. Else they will not be able to build such a huge community up as they want.

Blizzard knows damn well if they make this a pay per month game, they will lose all respect they ever had.

If it ain't free to play on bnet I won't even buy Sc2. Just wait for a crack or somethimg :/

Make a coughbiasedcough poll in favour of keeping it free.

50 US Dollars? That means it would be £25 over here. And new games are like £40.

If it wasn't free I would still buy it, and I would pay the b.net fees to play online.

I also read that BNet may not be free. But I am sure noone likes this idea. This is not WOW, here you don't leve lup and stuff, you just want to play games with random guys or friends.
For friends, there will be hamachi, and I think it wouldn't worth a monthly pay just to play on bnet... I think than I will make some of my friends to play SC2.

I'd be pretty damn sad, because I never played sc online and I was looking forward to SC2.

IF there is gona be a Direct TCP/IP LAN network available as was later with patch in Starcraft 1, even if they dicide to make Bnet not for free (stupid idea of the millenium) i wouldnt care cause i could connect directy to my friends PC and Have on-line fan, without Bnet's LAG ;-)

I would be pissed for sure. They already own a highly populated MMORPG that requires monthly pay.

B.net has always been Free 2 Play. That's why Blizz made and continues to use and expand on it. It will not be Pay 2 Play.

Karune said it himself... that Blizzard IS looking into new ways of advertising though B.net. Why Ads in B.net? So it can pay for itself without having to get money from the players.

    B.net will remain Free.

The only thing I could see them doing is give players the option of a pay subscription for use of more hardware taxing features like VoIP. That is the worse case I can imagine.
