Bank Intrest Rate Error

As Jon stated, the bank has a .02% intrest rate on deposits. However, I'm sure that anyone who's used the bank yet has realized that it says 0% intrest rate.

Even after putting all my minerals into the bank (233 to be exact), it states that my current intrest per day is 0 minerals, when it should be .46 minerals. I know BoP stated it in the shop tutorial thread, but I think this is something that needs to be brought to a mod's(preferably Jon's) attention since the current bank system is worthless unless the intrest rate is fixed.

I put my mins (700) and it says
"Next Bank Interest: 0 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, 53 seconds until next payment of 1 Minerals"

So it does give interest in full numbers, but still it should be fixed to the way it was before.

 

Where'd you find that?

It gave me a specific date and time

Either way it's not listed right and .002% seems so very low

It should be .02 which is what it was in the last shop...

My calculator told me that .02% of 233 is not 0
Either my calculator lied to me, or something is needed to be done on the bank.

 

We have a bank?

 

click on the shop option on the top right corner, a dropdown box will appear
on the dropdown box, click bank
once there type in the amount you want to deposit under the 'deposit' option, then click deposit.

Also, what does 'reset' do? Does it erase the current minerals you have in the bank?

Funny thing in the bank the two reset buttons are regional. I mean they say "zresetuj" for me instead of reset

 

All issues will be reviewed and repaired on Saturday, including giving everyone their minerals and pets.

As far as the "reset" button, it just clears the field if you enter the wrong amount.

So you enter 50000, "Oops, too much" *RESET* and it will delete the 50000.

 

Another thing I found is that when you depsit minerals, the time til you get your intrest resets.

example:
In 10 hours, I would get my intrest from the bank. However, after putting in 100 minerals, the time til my intrest is given resets to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Thus, if I keep putting minerals in the bank every few hours, it's possible that I could never receive intrest on it if I didnt realize that depositing resets the intrest counter.

 

That's not going to be fixed. Don't continually deposit minerals. The system is specifically set up to accrue interest based on 24 hours.

What ever happened to giving interest the same time each day?


The current method with the small interest rate makes the bank kinda pointless, and if you add a withdraw fee I will have to rally and angry mob.

 

But you get a ****load of minerals for not doing anything yourself, but having people look at your profile and threads, and the like. Which is BS if you ask me but if it stays, it more than compensates for the bank.

 

Frankly I don't even think we need a bank.
If we're gonna have one though then you might as well make a proper one.

 

...and remove all the fancy bonuses. I fear a colossal inflation that would practically destroy the whole shop system before it even reached its full potential.

 

It's ONE mineral per profile view. Even I only have like 1,500 views in four months. I don't think that's outrageous.

 

Yesterday I had nine thousand something minerals after Kurai gave my money back. Now I have over 11k
It's the small tidbits that add up like minerals after thread views and such.

i have 4338 minerals in there..thats an INSIGNIFICANT RATE...
it should be increased...
because it is completely useless then if its that low...
