avatar...

how do i change my avatar to something actually.... everyone else has one except me, there is nothing to click or anything under the edit avatar section.

 

On top of the forums click on User CP, on your left hand side under Settings and Options, you will see something that says 'Edit Avatar'

 

all i see is:
Edit Signature
Edit Email & Password
Edit Options
Edit Ignore List

that is it

 

and when i click on where my avatar "should" be, it shows:
Edit Avatar
Your Current Avatar
No Avatar Specified
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

hit user control panel under the Quick Links option at the top of the forum page, on the left side there should be a spot that looks like this:




hit avatar, and this should appear:




Make sure the "Do not use an avatar" option is unselected. if you have an image on your computer you want to use, click browse and find the image you want. If it's an image from the internet, get the pic's url and insert it into option 1.

After you choose the image hit "Save Changes".

@shadow, it's been less than 2 days, i dont have to be on everyday, ive got things like college work to do =P

Reset the fields.

 

the green dot wont go away >_< does the admin just hate me and disabled the feature for me?

 

clicking reset does nothing, and when i click on bubble green dot will not go away

 

try what Willy said, hit the reset fields button. That should give you back the default settings which has the "do not use avatar" option unselected.

nvm, u already tried.

 

i just tried it in internet explorer instead of firefox... no luck

 

try contacting a mod/admin(the ones with green text for thier names instead of blue). They might be able to fix the issue.

 

You should either contact LordKerwyn, or Joneagle_X.

They are the ones that would be able to help the best.

Vamp hit it on the nose you havn't finished your email confirmation, so right now you are in a usergroup that doesn't have permission to use an avatar.

 

can the email be resent to me? its not in my inbox
