    The file is too large.

    The max is 19Kb if I remember correctly, and that image is 108Kb.

    I thought there only was a max when you upload, not when you link? Is that something new in the VB board or?

    The admin decided to limit the filesize for linked avatars as well because it doesn't matter if it's uploaded or linked, the file still has to be downloaded by people. It's a little inconvenient, but not a tragedy. Let's hope we can make a compromise.

    ps apparently, attachments can only be 19kb :confused: <- and that's a wicked smiley :D

    Make sure you download the linked image and you set it as an avatar uploaded from your disk. If it doesn't work, try again later. If it still doesn't work, flood the admin's PM box. By the time our 3 day ban expires, you will get bored with that avy.

    Currently there is a problem with linking external avatars. It has yet to be corrected but it should be eventually.

    Is the black bounded box really necessary for the avatar?

    Couldn't we just put the avatars directly on the background?

    Hey how come the avatars look pixelatedjagged and otherwise horrible and low qulity on the visitor comments?

    They look just fine everywhere else

    Resizing done by forum software is often ungraceful

    Your avatar might look jagged, mine looks as if I had two lazy eyes :D
    I've already suggested to remove the resizing. The layout is suitable for listing 80x80 avatars easily.
