Hey guys, I just got SC2 last night, and it took forever to download and finally get to the BNET screen where Im ready to connect. Then I try to connect but it stops me midway and says i need to install an authorized language pack from blizzard. I dont know what that is or where to get it, so if one of you guys could help me out here.... anyone having same problem?

    Hi newkie.
I think you can solve your problem simply by downloading the client in english. The problem is you probably won't be able to play on latin american servers.

I paid for the BR (brazilian) version and it seems I can't use the english client ("need to install an authorized language pack" error).

Plz help if anyone has a solution for this.

Yeah i know, i have no problems with playing in a non latin server, but i would like to have the game in spanish because sounds like they did a good job translating it and download the client again... it took me 3 days to download the latin client, wait another 3 days for the US client sounds crazy for me.

I only the friggin language pack, thats all i need, if i dont get crashes while playing it :(

Btw me bro will play it too and he doesn´t speak english so the spanish version would be great for me

Check your clock for some reason it can change the date and the hour.

    What is your status?

Got the same error message after playing for a week... no idea what was the real issue since my clock was fine.

Problem disappeared after I verified my firewall and ensured the ports was allowed... look at the windows firewall and your router just in case...

    Hi guys,

I have managed to fix the issue. I am in Bulgaria and I play enGB version.

    Here is what I did:

1st add your Starcraft2.exe to the windows firewall. Some of you may say - "my firewall is off" well switch it on and add the program there.

2nd sync your windows time with NTP server.

    Good luck!

In Windows Vista/7, click on the clock in the lower right, "Change date and time settings..."
"Change time zone" if your time zone isn't set correctly. (happens ALOT)

choose the internet time tab, then click "Change settings"

Change the server to anything other then the default. Default server likes to crap out. Press "update now"

Make sure your time zone is set properly too
