    Same problem

I noticed this thread was posted today and still has no reply. I am having the same problem. i am going to try to reinstall. Will edit if i get positive results.

I also ran all scans and updated all drivers etc... nothing so far. ( i originally was recommended to update drivers, which i did, and never saw the recommendation again... still no beta access.)

Edit: re-Installation successful. ... (Cant wait for the next error.) So just reinstall.

There is another thread lurking around here which links to a blizzard post discussing the issue. The two fixes I remember were deleting a sc2 file (a cache file I think), and the other had to do with changing firewall/virus security settings (seems to be more of a problem with windows 7 on the latter).

    Didn't Work.

I just bought the game today, was excited to get home and start playing, everything went smoothly, I installed it perfectly fine without any problems, so when I was finally able to play I couldn't connect and I keep getting the same error. I searched up on the problem, So I have tried a lot of things but its still not working, even the re-Installation didn't work, I did it 3 times still nothing.
    Can anyone help me please??
    Thanks!!! :(

    I am on a mac!!!!

got the same error message, except my virus-scanner also detected a worm in the battle.net/cache directory. running win7, and i've had the patch since it was released so i don't think that's what caused it but it might be an actual virus. in any event, i tried deleting the cache file (through avast, not exactly sure which file it ended up being), and also tried wiping the entire cache directory and it's still happening. and yes, i have a legit copy. WTF!

i suppose i could disable virus scanning for that, but having searched around the web it seems there is an sc2 virus going around (might only affect pirated copies).. so i'd rather not
