ATTENTION SHOPPERS (shop update)

After about two hours, I got the shop back in business again. Restocked all the pets to their rightful amounts, you'll see normal pets are nearly unlimited, and now the first edition items have stock according to what i thought their popularity and mineral cost would be/are. So now all the StarCraft based items are back. As for the non SC ones like tomatoes and other tidbits, I still have to discuss those with Jon.

Also, Jon made a few adjustments to the mineral system, so now minerals are a bit harder to obtain. So now we won't have insanity like 5 minerals per view and 5 for a post in a thread you made. This means you'll actually have to work for the minerals this time instead of sit back and be flooded with a large amount of mins, though I applaud some people for trying that. However, since the minerals now have value in the shop there are a few things i want to remind you of when referring to areas outside of Space Junk (the areas you get minerals for posting in)

ALSO: this is the reason, for those of you who don't know, your minerals are gone again. The majority of forum members agreed we needed to switch over and start from scratch after the new forum layout came about. So please no threads or PMs asking where your pets or minerals went. You are not getting them back, and neither is everyone else. This is a chance to fix things up again, so sorry for inconvenience, this is what everyone decided would be best.

1. No spam posts:
No off topic posts, no just posting pictures, no 'LOL' posts or 'I agree' posts. If you're going to contribute something to a relevant topic make an effort for it to be actually relevant. Doing it for post count and minerals won't be just accepted anymore. If you want to play around, go to space junk, that's the rule, as it always has been, although the ideology got kind of derailed thanks to a few un-named users (though everyone knows who they are ) Also, BoP got the gist for you, too. 2. No double posting
Want to add something? Then click the friendly EDIT button on the bottom of your post and put it there. Double posting clutters things up as well as rewards post count and minerals that shouldn't be added. It just makes things look unprofessional so refrain from it.

3. Don't quote people directly above you.
Again, another attempt I see to skew mineral counts and don't play innocent, we all know how it works
If you're replying to someone a few posts away, quote the bit you are referring to, not the entire post or use @nameofthepersonyou'requoting: and then type your message. Quoting people above you is redundant and just adds clutter. So don't think you can just get away with quoting something long and wordy and then answering with one or two sentences of your own.

4. As always, no flaming, insulting, trolling
This is self explanatory but i included this because I've seen it recently. Don't insult and mock other people, sure people don;t know as much sometimes or you're angry at their views. So what? Everyone is entitled to their opinion and as long as it's not hurting other people, it's fine. Don't just attack someone's beliefs, don't try to provoke them (trust me, the moderators can tell when someone is trying to do so to them or another member) and so on.

5. Respect your moderators
If we tell you to stop something, then you best listen. We're members just like the rest of you, but we are also sworn to keeping this forum in top shape, so that means if we say stop spamming we mean it. We hate to deal the punishment as much as you all hate to receive it, but sometimes things have to be done. So if a mod deletes something, do not repost it. Have an issue? take it up with the other moderators or the moderator themselves. if something happened you do not believe should have, kindly contact the moderator via PM, and don't spam their visitor message or threads with your comments.

To us older members, have fun, the shop has been a bit haywire since the transfer to VB, and now we have it back, so I expect a lot of good posts, helpful things done to help new members, and competitions going strong like they were before.

I noticed the blue pet Banshee costs less than the more numerous yellow Banshee. I suggest a mod double checks everything.

 

If it isn't too much trouble, I have a suggestion for the pets page.

Can we get tabs for the different races of pets?

 

I have quickly updated the shop and took care of the errors people have pointed out. As for your request dark I am not 100% sure it can be done but give me an hour and I may have that or a good second ready.

Update: Well atleast from what I can do it is not possible to create racial tabs, however the shop is now ordered by race.

I know pricing the pets must be really hard as you try to get them as realistic as possible, but some things I just have to point out...

A Mutalisk should obviously not be cheaper than a Hydralisk, at least not by that much. Maybe switch their prices if coming up with new numbers takes too much time?

The Siege Tank (it has been spelled Seige Tank in the shop btw) should be pricier, at least 2000. The Viking shouldn't be more expensive than the Siege Tank, so switching their prices wouldn't be that inaccurate.

 

What no, Muta's should be cheaper then Hydra's, you're thinking their relationship to each other in the first game, Hydra's are a higher tier now.

 

I think they werent priced off the game, more off of demand. I put the prices msotly back the way they were those few months ago, just rose them a lil bit and such. I'm thinking it's more about what's more popular, as well as with really expensive units in the game. I'll see about the tank, though, I blame jon,he names it <.<

I would think Hydra's are way more in demand then Muta's.

 

...Which makes them both tier 2. And the cost about the same too. OK, maybe Hydras don't have to be cheaper, but they should be much more close to eachother.

It's not all about their relationship to eachother though. The Mutalisk is cheap in relation to like, everything IMO. Vikings, Corruptors and Phoenii are around 3k.
