    Just a general reminder about using the Spoiler tags when talking about cheat codes and other such spoilers. Now of course StarCraft1 is decades old and we all most likely know them off by heart already, but not only is it unfair to those who don't and don't want to know them, but it's also a good practice to get into for the release of StarCraft2. I, for one, have no interest in learning them, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, and although it's inevitable that they will be learnt, there's no point in speeding up the process.

    So, just as a reminder, use the Spoiler tags when talking about any cheat codes or plot spoilers, especially in StarCraft2.

    Code:
    [s[B][/B]poiler] The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. [/spoiler]
    As for plot spoilers, obviously the plot for StarCraft1 is an intricate part of StarCraft lore, so obviously adding the Spoiler tags to any sort of StarCraft1 plot spoiler would be impractical, but I'd expect to see an extended grace period of censoring StarCraft2 plot spoilers after its release.

    Cheers.

    Good idea! The worst part (to me) of Starcraft1 was the part where i found out the cheats... It ruined the story for me. And that's what I hate most. When the story gets ruined.. It also ruined my skills against the computer (This was like 8 years ago btw).. I don't use them now and won't use them again. So i'm in agreement with IHG..
    USE SPOILERS! :D

    Thank you Itza. I remember when I hadn't yet completed the Terran campaign and my friend told me about Kerrigan's faith in the Zerg campaign. And after that I have always been wondering how excited I would have been waiting for the Chrysalis to be ready to show it's secret and how surprised I would have been if I hadn't known what was inside it.

    Can we have the advanced spoiler tags? Like this:
    Code:
    [spoiler=describe spoiler content here] content [/spoiler]
    That would be awesome. I often open spoiler tags anyway, because people simply never say what to expect in them.
    If I make a spoiler that contains lore, I want to be able to show that. Now you often need to open them to be sure. Then you often get to see content you tried to avoid anyway! So: please add those.

    Hmmm, good thinking Aurora. Much the same as Quote tags, eh? Great idea, though you'd have to consult LK or someone like that. You'd have my full support, of course, though. While often you should be able to tell based on the content of the discussion, at the moment it would probably be best to manually label it.

    For example;

    Code:
    Layout example spoiler;
    [s[B][/B]poiler] The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.[/spoiler]
    As for everyone else, although it's great to see that everyone's so enthusiastic, I'd like to ask you all to only use the Spoiler tags when they're required. Although it's obvious that everyone here is joking around and that the Spoiler tags don't actually contain any spoilers, while we want people to getting into the habit of using them when needed, we don't want others to get into the habit of revealing them.

    So, in summation, for now, please label all Spoiler tags, and please refrain from simply using the Spoiler tags as a fun way of posting. If you do, again, please label it in some way or other.

  10. So, you're so tempted by knowing cheat codes that you can't help yourself? How are you even able to play games in general?

    yes, good, I hate cheat codes, the only time that I use them is when Im replaying a level of something and need to get to a certain spot or so, so the people would say their lines, well that and radio free zerg ^_^.

    Black sheep wall is pretty good for testing maps, actually.

    For map testing yes, it is good to have full visibility. But I'd rather the cheat codes were easier and quicker to remember and type in, like one word that enables a global cheat mode, and it's all simple switches from there.

    How about funny cheats like radio free zerg or if Blizzard puts there something like in the AoE series? I love the cheats in Age of Mythology. Bears firin' lazors.

    Level 10 elite tauren chieftan, or what was it for Warcraft 3? Somebody at Blizzard will get their ass whooped if there is no secret song in Starcraft 2.

  17. There's plenty of fads on GameFAQs (many of which I started) that could easily be a cheat code due to popularity.
