Are you going to buy SC 2?

Some people would rather wait until the expansions come out because right now 60 dollars priced for the game and it only contains the Terran campiagn is kind of a rip off =/ This kind of makes it seem like it's 1/3 of a game and you have to pay, i assume, 60 more dollars for the upcoming expansions which can be a heavty amount of money. So my question is are you going to buy SC2 as soon as it comes out or wait until there's a battlechest or something?

 

I start to get jumpy when i don't play for a day. I have no idea how I'm going to last for the next two months. I'm buying it at midnight on the 27th and playing until I cannot keep my eyes open. Personally, I'm not that interested in the campaign. SC2 is all about the multiplayer so I am defiantly going to buy it. I have confidence that blizzard will make HoS and LoV worth $30 or whatever it ends up being. We've already been promised new multiplayer.
For single player games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 I waited for Goty. For SC2 I can't take it

 

read the reviews. for all we know, the single player could be pretty epic and worth the money.

just because you know sequels will be coming doesn't mean they stiffed you. that's like going into the theaters for Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring saying "well, you know this is only the first of 3 parts. they just split it over 3 movies to make more money."

 

True, personally i really wanna buy it the day it comes out too but i hope it's worth the money

 

Knowing that there are planned expansions down the track doesn't make me want to pay less for a game...i'm not waiting 2 years for a battlechest.

Why pay more than the bare minimal for food (Nutrious is bare minimum) when down the track it won't make a difference?

 

I'm curious to know if theres anyone registered on this site that is not going to buy StarCraft II, it is a website dedicated solely to the game after all....

Anyways, the single player will have about 90 mission instead of 30 mission per race. If I remember correctly. And yeah, I will buy it. Maybe pre-order it at GameSeek.co.uk. It is cheaper there.

 

That rumor still floating around? The trilogy isn't rocket science.

 

I wonder how much the expansions will differentiate from WoL - ie:

In Wings of Liberty you have this research room, upgrades for your units, mercenaries etc. I really hope that the expansions will really stand alone and that they will not be a repeat exercise of WoL in a different jacket.

Hopefully there will be some info on this at BlizzCon, but I doubt it.

 

I curious how some of the single player campaign triggers will affect my weak system.(ie. flooding lava, since I cant even see normal lava that well on the 2v2 player scorched map.)

I preordered Starcraft 2 last year about June. And got the pre-order transfered to a Collectors Edition on the day the CE's were announced.

I also pre-orderd Diablo 3 on that same day in June last year.
I didn't pre-order Catalysm though as I don't care for WoW CE's. I will only get the normal edition of that one day when I could be bothered.
