Archon, Twilight Archon, and Void Archon

So I was wondering, since we have two templars (high and dark), we have 3 different combination of archon warp, so why make them all have the same effect?

You'll get a different archon with each type of archon meld, and here are the three:

Twlight Archon: High templar + dark templar
Lore: High and dark templar each channel a different type of psionic energy, while the high templar uses the psionic power naturally born with, the dark templar uses the power of the void. Once the two powers combine, they are improperly unable to combine. As they are merged, their energy will conflict, causing a small distortion field near it which blasts nearby enemies with a small psionic burst every once in awhile. They are also able to seperate anytime as their energys do not merge properly[/B]
-Ok so what's so special about it? If a high+dark fuse, they become a twilight archon. Should they decide to separate, it'll take 3 seconds before they do. After the three seconds that they diffuse, an excess of lost energy will be released, dealing minor damage to all non psionic nearby units within close range to the twilight archon (maybe just 20-40). As a result of this, the high templar and dark templar with have 0 shield and 0 energy (obviously it'll only be temporary), and yes they can fuse again. Every 5 seconds, nearby enemies within melee distance around the twilight archon will be blasted and take 5 damage as well.

Archon: High templar + high templar
Lore: Since the high templar has a large reserve of psionic energy inside it, it is able to channel extra energy in the merge of another high templar. Once the archon is formed, it retains the immense psionic energy of the two being, thus it'll have more shield and faster shield regeneration rate and increased attack range.
-This archon will have +50 extra shield compared to other archons, and have 100% faster shield regeneration and +1 range.
Void Archon: Dark templar + dark templar
Lore: After the fall of auir and the invasion of Shakuras, the dark templar engage in a new merge practice, leaded and kept in top secret by Zeratul and only revealed when needed. The previous dark archon's biggest weakness is the lack of a proper attack and feedback wasn't enough to suffice, the dark templars converted most of their void energy from powerful special abilities to attack. As a result, their original abilities have greatly reduced effects with the ultimate sacrifice of losing the mind control ability.
-The Void Archon has a weaker attack and less shield than the other two archon (about 50 less shield, 10 less damage), however it has a minor, passive feedback on each attack. The feedback will burn energy equal to its damage (so 20 energy burned per attack +2 with each weapon upgrade). If the void archon dies, it will release a "maelstorm", freezing biological units for a short time near its place of death.

And no, this idea is NOT complicated, it might look complicated ONLY because I'm giving a detailed explanation. To put it simple and short:
-high+high = more brute power
-high+dark = can defuse
-dark+dark = weaker version of dark archon but can attack.

How many times have I seen a thread like this? I can't count that high .. Anyone got a calculator that can do scientific notation or moles?

Really? I've never seen any threads like this, unless you consider a thread with bringing back the dark archon as one.

 

This is just another one of those topics that people get ideas about and therefore it pops up every now and then.
