April Fool

Let's think up our own blizzard-esque april fools for sc2.

New building
Dark Nexus : An second level upgrade for the Protoss Nexus, which makes the building both invisible to enemy players, and totally invulnerable to damage.


New unit
Hades : A replacement unit for the Banshee. A strategic air unit which fires a sustained volley of homing missiles with an unlimited attack range, and a rate of 4 missiles per second. Each missile does 100 damage to enemy targets, and gives a 50% chance of spawning undead zombies and skeletons from their bloody remains.

New ability
Zerg Queen -> Protean Plague : Releases a virulent airborne plague that spreads over the whole map and infects enemy units. After a 60 second timer, each infected unit will turn into zerglings owned by the infecting player.

Sure Blizzard will prepare an April fool joke. Surely a new "strange" unit or building. Any new info from Blizzard by now shown tomorrow will be a joke.

The joke would probably be something we aren't expecting. Like free beta registration. (then redirect to april fools page, lol!)
That would probably be unlike them. but, who knows!

 

We've already fallen for this year's April Fool's. It happened back in 2007. StarCraft 2 was Blizzard's biggest April Fool's EVAR!!!

 

I'm expecting something like playable versions of their currently in-progress games, and when you go to register/download/try them...

Anywyas I can imagine them messing with us by sayying **** like WC4 beta or SC2 beta or now announced: New lost vikins or World of starcraft.

Also they would also threaten to cancel one of their projects.

 

Now I can't imagine that. It'll just get them mass traffic on their websites. Some people might be annoyed and try to do damage to the website. And people would be less inclined to believe it when it happens for real... like crying wolf and all.



Other April Fools ideas

Latest changes to SC2:

1. We have decided to remove the unlimited unit selection for balancing issues we have been having with the zerg race. SC2 will now only allow a single unit to be selected at any one time.

2. We are having some performance-stability issues on a handful of system configurations because of our graphics methods, so we have decided to remove all of the 3D components and reuse our graphics engine from warcraft 1. We're happy to announce that this move has cleared up the problem issues.

 

They've decided to bypass the beta test and release the game. Right now. It's already at your local Gamestop.

What if they say that, and its true, only that they say it on april 1st to fool everyone
so we think they are fooling but they arent so we get foolied by their non-foolstatement...

Nobody expected the forums to make a joke, everyone focusses on Blizzard.

Not with the freaking mobile skinn jon is forcing on mobile users. And it still is not going away, while jon and even the freakin org network holder have been online for over an hour now.

Is it case sensitive the password/account name?

 

Passwords are case sensetive, don't tnink usernames are, but it couldn't hurt to try capitalizing.

 

Rojo, I reccomend not to sign in on your before Jon solves the skin switch problem.
