    I made a Zerg unit that grows creep around it, and when non-Zerg units stand on it they rapidly loose health...

    I think its pretty cool. Its the backbone of my current map I'm making (Which I can't yet reveal)...

    So has anyone else made anything cool yet (galaxy editor-wise)?

    hmm... I find it hard to believe that no one else here has made units or cool maps...

    All ive done was mess around with the editor. Simple things, just trying to get a hang of the triggers.

    This guy is making a custom campaign though, looks awesome.

    yea that does look cool. I think i get the hang of triggers rather well (having done heaps in the WC3 editor), its the data editor that confuses me

    I bet we see more maps coming out soon, since most of the editing tools are similar to wc3. I mean, the game is not even out yet :D

    some interesting TD maps there.. i think everyone is still a bit nervous as to if their maps will carry over to the release version of sc2 without bugs.

    I agree, although the most custom SC2 maps I've seen is at z33k

    Pfft? SC2Mapster is by far a better source for maps/help.

    I found an WoW imp that's hidden on Redstone III during that mining mission in the campaign. Very bottom right of the map. Tried grabbing it with an SCV dropped off by the comm center, but it seems to just be a doodad that's fun to find.

    Im making a custom campaign based around zerg infestation of terrans.
    think... L4D... 28 days later style military verse zombies action.

    I'm getting close to finishing my map with a hellion... that has no normal attack... that shoots a seeker missile at a target in front of it when you hit the spacebar... that can pick up abilities, such as a Siege Tank that fires a line of AoE modified EMP missiles in front of it... that is driven using WASD and the Up/Down arrow keys...

    nice! I want to find out how to do that kind of thing, also, apparently you can make a FPS game in the editor.

    P.S. does anyone know how to give the diamondback ability of shooting and moving to other units?
    I want to have a hellion in my game that can drive and shoot (drive by zombie flamer action :D)

    I'll look that up. And yes, there is a command that lets you focus the camera on mouse position, thus fps. The only issue is that there are no other mouse-location commands.

    EDIT: Open the Data module, find the desired weapon, and go to the Weapon tab (or scroll down to the bottom if in table-view mode). The third data field called "Allowed Movement" is what you change. Set it to Moving to allow your unit to move while using the weapon. Slowing will initiate the weapon as the unit comes to a halt, while None will only fire the weapon when the unit has completely stopped.

    As unoriginal as this sounds, I was thinking of making a DOTA style mod (with some stuff different). I'm curious if it would get any support, I think most people play starcraft for different reasons. But it's very tempting considering all the tools are there for it now. I even felt like the prison level with tosh in the campaign felt like dota. Which if anything proves that it's doable. Who here would play it if it existed?

    How were the DotA maps? Anything that holds up to LoL? (Valve just bought DotA I am psyched)

    @Zeratooled: There's no inventory in starcraft 2 (Theres abilities with charges, but they don't count) so that kinda ruins the major point of DotA, and what about leveling up?

    yeah, it's REALLY annoying having no leveling up... but i reckon someone will make something with variables soon, its only a matter of time.
