i'd like to see a real rally-racing game. there's lots of "off-road" or "dirt road" racing games, but none that really cross a huge expanse of terrain (i.e. cross-country rally). i'm thinking of something like FarCry 2's map, but even bigger. just a huge, wide-open terrain instead of tracks where you do multiple laps. hell, races could be so big that you wouldn't be able to finish in a single session of gaming... like the Baja1000. and (this thought inspiried by motorstorm) you could pick different types of vehicles- bikes, cars, trucks... maybe even hovercrafts? each one would be able to cross certain terrain that others can't, so different route possibilities would be available for each. possibility of this being made? i dunno, probably slim. huge maps mean lots of memory and loading times. racing against other people would be hard, especially with long races like 24-hour rallies. and the fun factor... well, it'll end up being pretty boring after an hour of continuous driving, unless the terrain changes often. it's just something i want to see happen, though.
I think there might already be a cool game like that, let me see if I can remember it. Also. I just want starcraft 2. We are all getting bored and preoccupied and bored from no news of sc2. I am depressed.
I beg to differ. I used to follow LFS closely and they hold 24-hour races, and although it's hard, it doesn't lose the fun factor... in fact, it increases with every passing minute, and not just for the racers, but also the hundreds of spectators via live stream. As for becoming boring, if the racers are on a competitive level, it can't get boring, trust me. I would like to see Blizzard make an underwater RTS game similar to Submarine Titans. Underwater games are practically nonexistent, and there is so much potential in it for unique mechanics and dazzling graphics that I'm surprised there aren't any noteworthy games.
well bioshock wasn't really underwater. you were in a city in the water, but gameplay-wise the city could have been anywhere. you could have been on the moon and the game would have played the same way.
Nobody asked you. We're trying to make vaszy stfu cause he is annoying sometimes. LMFAO! JK JK I know, but it is still underwater, and the look of it because of that is awesome.
Me and my friends' ideas over a few hours on a car trip. StarCraft Online: Conquer worlds for alliances, fight as Zerg, Protoss or Terran, and establish empires. Level up, gain weapon, armor upgrades as Protoss and Terran, and evolve as a Zerg. Purchase space ships and stations, and engage in space battles. Real-time diplomacy. Full PvP between different alliances. Fight for the Kel-Morian Combine, the Daggoth Rebels, Kerrigan's Swarm, Duran's Renegade Swarm, Artanis/Zeratul's Protoss Fleet, Raynor's Raiders, under Mengsk, the UED, etc... Changing situations. Epic encounters. etc. etc. etc.
i actually had a totally different idea for SC online. it would be totally different from any other game, and also very confusing, lol. it would be a mix of MMORPG/RTS. instead of mostly PvE gameplay in RPGs, it would be much more PvP. the big difference, though, is one player gets to play a hero (Xel'naga hybrid) and the other commands an army (RTS style, T/P/Z). most of the "early" missions would be closed environments, kind of like the infiltration missions in starcraft. usually the hero will be infiltrating the other player's "base." as the player "levels up" his hero or his commander levels, it opens up new missions. at the upper level, heros assault entire bases, while the RTS-player gets, say, a 5-minute lead to build up a base (or a scenario base is just given to them). or there could be cooperative missions, where a hero can be allied with an RTS commander. and, of course, there's the regular PvP of hero vs hero, or standard RTS battles. balancing will be hell.
I'd like to see a historical RTS that is as competitive as SC1, but with decent gfx. And ofc a community to go with that. I like the rally simulator idea as well.
