Well, I've started making a random game based on starcraft. By based, I mean it has little to do with starcraft's universe, except maybe the names and some of the abilities of the units, kind of like Legacy of the Confederation. To be honest, I'm pretty busy, so something may or may not come of this. But I want to give it a try, none the less. But before I really get started on anything else, I would like to have the basic game play down. Should it be a tactical RPG like Fire Emblem, with a set number of characters who gain levels, or more of an advanced wars clone with unit building and some such? Or do you have a better idea?
WTF. The 2 choices are: A tactical RPG like Fire Emblem An advanced wars clone Which are in fact the same type of Turn based strategy. Only one with a hero system and the other with a building system. Really, I know that theres an 'other' option. But next time please try to make a wider choice.
While the grids and menu are the same, the art, game play style, story style, and combat mechanics differ, as does the A.I. As for an FPS, maybe some day. For now, one game at a time.
