I haven't seen it, IGN loads REALLY slow for me. Pretty lame subtitle if you ask me. Okay, a couple seconds in. WOOT Predator Spacecraft!!!!... On Eath, crap.

f**k the effects are awesome, did they use props for the Facehuggers in the first AvP? Because these ones look CGI.

One guy gets his face melted after a Predator Plasma launches an Alien about to buttrape him. It looks like there's no more 4 foot long claw blades, I liked those about the AvP adaptation, same with the heavy armor. But oh well, I just hope there's like 1-3 Predators that REALLY put up a fight this time, which it looks like they will. Also, MARINES!!!

Also also, one chick totally gets raped by the Shuriken, straight into the freakin' wall. It looks like the building got infested by Zerg... err, Aliens. PREDATORS GET THE WHIP NOW, HOLY CRAP HE DICES THE FREAKIN' ALIEN JUST LIKE THAT!!!

Alien outbreak!!! And there's ATLEAST one Predator that holds his own, in the sewer, totally chokes two Aliens. One dies though Poor Preds. Looks like the Predator kidnaps some guy, but thats unlikely unless it needs help.

On Pred gets two shoulder cannons and headshots two noobs, AWESOME. It looks like the main human character nabs a plasma cannon off a Predator or something, and pwnz0red the Hybrid.

good to see its more violent than the first. I hate how they make AVP on earth, it would be way better if they took the setting from the Alien movies.

 

I've just watched the trailer. Some parts were awesome and some parts looked like they are desperately trying to über the previous movie, like the double shoulder cannon? wtf? And the whip looks cheap when you know there are far better weapons in the predators' arsenal. Personally I prefer the long blades to these new ones, which look like a tickling device when the predator wants to go man-to-man with fists.
I'll watch it as soon as I can nontheless.

 

The first AVP movie was so fucking bad I couldn't believe it, it was a fucking disgrace to the old alien movies.

 

Why dont they make Alien versus Predator in the aliens setting, as in the comics and videogames. This movie cant suck as much as the first one though. If its PG-13 like AVP Im not watching it.

These movies totally shatter the continuity of both the Alien and Predator movies though.

 

I think it's because the director thought the movie would appeal to more people if it was set in a more familiar scene. Like on Earth, to create that "oo it could happen to us" feeling I know I'd like that, I'd first beat up a predator then I'd rip every living thing to pieces with my 25 inch bladed frisbee-boomerang thing That baby was my favourite thing in the first movie. I mean, how cool is that? Off the scale.

 

Btw, did anyone notice the alien skull hangin' in the predator spaceship in predator 2?

I only saw the first Alien movie, so I don't know much about this, but it looks pretty cool.

 

In Predator 2? It was probably Pred vision. Also, new wrist blades? These are the OLD wrist blades, so if you're complaining about how un-Predator it is, thats the wrong thing to complain about. As for the whip, it looks awesome

 

The first alien movie or the first alien vs predator movie? Very big difference. First alien movie is a absolute classic and avp is really really bad.

 

I'm actually having trouble getting the movie to come up. It just says the page u'r looking for on IGN cannot be found. I really wanna see it. Anybody else experiencing the same problem?

 

I was only saying I liked the long blades more... I'm not too involved in the storyline of Alien or Predator so I wouldn't know.
And yes, it's in Predator 2 when they're in the cooling house and Danny Glover takes the Predator's mask off, the Predator throws him away and goes after him. I can recognise the vision modes and that's thermal, not pred. I went ahead and checked it for you it's at 1:17:47.
edit: He wouldn't have even pred vision without his mask as I understand so I don't know why you said that

 

Yes he would, I was referring to the normal Predators actual vision. It's infra-red as well, like a crappier resolution thermal vision.

 

Like... wow I didn't know that. They have similar eyes as us so I assumed they see everything like us except maybe a bit sharper and further. Wait does this mean that giant carnivorous plants would pwn predators?

Probably not with the helmet. They also have acid vision for aliens. At least they had in the first avp game (new generation on the pc, never played the old console games). That game was actually quite ok. Made far before the movie.

AvP1 I heard was really good, I only got to play AvP2 (still do sometimes) and I still love it.
