Wow i was literally mesmerised by the new E3 gameplay for Alan Wake. The gameplay seems very solid. So has anyone seen the latest gameplay video? Talk about it here!

At first I wasn't too happy with it being in third person since really, running around in the forest with a flashlight is five times scarier in first person. But as soon as the combat started I understood that the third person view was essential to the game. The view was sometimes altered to provide information and enjoyment for the player, and having that in first person is of course impossible. Seeing those guys swinging at you in slow motion from behind was really cool.

I hope it's either very long or has replayability. Looks promising.

Yeah, that's what i thought too. It's also an open world game like what you would see in GTA 4. Furthremore, you can interact with the general populace much like GTA but you can take it even further with dialogue options. Let's not forget that Alan Wake features both urban and natural landscapes so you'll never get bored. I'm drooling already.
