Why don't air uits have clipping? Or more precisely, why do they only have a pseudo-clipping when they're stationary? It looks retarded, not to mention it removes one more aspect of balance (i.e. unit size and thus how much they clump together).

Air units should be relatively strong with one of their weaknesses being that they can't stick together as closely as ground units, so they need more space to focus fire, less maticulous AA efforts on the defender's part, etc.

I'm not talking about IRL feasible space either, just... the least SC2 could do is respect the graphical boundaries of units. It would change balance, but who is to say it would be for the worse?

Problem is solved by using your imagination.

Imagine that the air units are not stacked on top of each other, but are actually spaced out at different elevations in the air.

And doesnt explain why 100 mutas stacked together can all fire at a unit 3 range away.
