Yes. It's built in the same building that allows you to train ghosts. (simple google search would do tbh)

Has the damage and radius been increased? As well as increasing the cost?

No info on it's damage radius, but the damage has been nerfed a bit, doing 300 damage + 200 damage vs. buildings. I guess it's not all bad though, because nukes cost half as much as they did in SC:BW

As far as I know, Nuclear Strikes still call out a map-wide warning when called down. Personally, I'm going to assume it does. If you want a definite answer, you can check the news sources on the link I posted.

Nukes have the same range as they did in SC1 which, in fact, means its radius is slightly smaller since the ranges of everything else have increased. :D

Ud think they would make a nuke more realistic, damage radius wise, and thus alot more expensive.

    Supreme commander nukes anyone?!

They are "realistic" - they're tactical nukes, not strategic nukes. There are actual real-life nukes that have tiny blast radii like SC nukes.

supreme commander is the least realistic RTS, lol. what kind of army would spend all their resources making a giant spiderbot? if war has taught us anything, it's that small + mobile beats big + powerful any day of the week.

A tactical nuke being the at the end of a tech tree does not make sense.

@Ste. It's not at the end of the tech tree in SC2. If you're referring to SC1: why doesn't it make sense, and if it doesn't - who cares? :p It's all in the name of balance. A blast that covers the entire map wouldn't really work out.

Maybe not the whole map, but still alot more than a tactical nuke..

Maybe 5-6 times the current radius.

For the sake of it being a sort of nuke? It's just a name. Sure, the idea was most likely inspired by real nukes rather than the need for a huge Terran AoE ability, but they could just as well change it's name to something different. Changing it's radius to 5 times the current wouldn't work out even if they increased cost and production time by 5 too.

if the nuke radi was 5-6 you would kill all of the workers in the back of the base while attacking the front with the nuke.

thats just a little over powered in my opinion.

keep in mind that if the RADIUS of the nuke is upped 5-6x, the AREA it hits will be raised 25-36x.

i agree, just a little overpowered.

You can always have more then one nuke. Spam nukes and make a real nuclear strike and be happy.

sure, they could also make the terratron a real unit, as long as they balanced the cost and build time.

but you know, if something costs 10,000 minerals,10,000 gas, and ten minutes to build, even if it was an automatic-win unit, it's not worth building or using.
