First off, i would recommend you not to play the "training" matches. Go directly for the placement. Training-matches are slower, there are the destructable rocks everywhere etc. which doesn't help you to develop a smooth multiplayer-gameplay.

What I - as a non-Terran-Player - saw in your replay: You don't get enough Units. It looked like you went for a bio-ball with medivacs and a few sieges, but then there are the vikings you're concentrating on. Ironically, the first thing that came to my mind was: DAMN! Scout, man! Thats something you don't learn in these training matches.

Then there is a situation where your opponent tries to destroy the rocks next to your natural and stops - That should have been the point for you to move out. You had enough Units to do some damage, could have kept producing since you had enough minerals....but you didn't. You then lost because your enemy massed up and went for mutalisks, which are the direct counter to vikings but you kept producing them.....

    Hi there,

    Good points:
-Your opener was solid. You constantly made workers and army and tech, expanded at a reasonable time, and made good use of siege tank position. You even put a supply depot behind your trees, which is crucial on the real blistering sands so good work there. You clearly must have watched some decent replays or something.

    Your issues:
-Your macro fell apart. You stopped making workers (watch your replay and go to the income tab and notice the difference between you and your opponent of number of workers and income late game. You also stopped making units. At one point you had over 3000 minerals and 1000 gas sitting in your bank. This should not happen. At this time your barracks, factory, and starport weren't even making any units. At mid-game, you need more production facilities and they need to constantly be pumping out units. A good rule of thumb is that you want to constantly increase your resource income by expanding, but you want to keep your current bank of resources as close to zero as possible (by spending all of it), unless you are specifically saving up for something like a new expo. Try setting your production facilities to hotkeys so that at any time, you can press your hotkeys and tell them to make units. Unless you have like five saturated bases, your current level of resources should never be into the 1000s.

-You turtled HARD. That part where you built like 15 missle turrets around your base was no good. Build a few turrets around your mineral line as a defense against mutalisks, and then relax with the static defense. Sometimes really late game I build a few extra turrets around my main to defend against massive drops, but that's only if things are going well and I have map control. Instead of like 15 missle turrets you should have had 15 more tanks, hellions, vikings, thors, and so forth. You can't win the game by sitting there trying to build a fortress.

-You didn't scout and harass enough. You let your opponent expand throughout the entire map, unchecked, while you turtled. He was able to throw away waves of units against your forces because he had tons of resources and out-macroed you.

I'd recommend you quit the practice league and try out the real placement matches. The practice league is ok for people who have absolutely no idea what they are doing so they can learn to play. Based on your early-game, you do have an idea of what you are doing- you just need practice on real maps with a variety of real situations.
