How fast does the creep in SC 2 disappear if there is no building or creep creating unit in the area to keep it alive? I'm asking cause I've seen all the great ways the Zerg can make creep. So I was thinking in a zerg vs non zerg game what's stopping the zerg from dumping creep in each expansion point on the map to stop the other players building there? It's just I'd like to know how to make creep effectively as well as kill it off effectively too.
...which in the case of an expo means about +1 minute until the non-zerg can expand. I hope enemy non-zerg units on the creep will speed up the degradation process.
lets look at the overlord creep production it creates creep in a area about the same size of the pylons power range is, it takes 15 seconds to fill up that area, and 30 seconds for area to be rid of creep if something was done with the Overlord that was producing the creep.
Hatchery Creep probably takes around 60 seconds to dissipate, seeing as Overlord's Creep radius is almost half of the Hatchery Creep radius, and that took 30 seconds to dissipate. -Psi
