    Hi all!

It's great to be a part of the community and, after doing a load of research I have a couple questions that I hope someone could answer for me.

    1. How would one go about linking an image in their signature space? I am fairly well-versed in HTML and have tried to link it multiple ways, but to no avail. Anyone have suggestions? EDIT : I am currently using Photobucket to upload said images. Is this a problem?

    2. How would one go about uploading an animated image (GIF) into their avatar space? The current avatar I have is supposed to be animated and, unless it is not animating on this computer alone, it is not.

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can kick my way. Happy hunting! :)

    1. use the code and put the image url into the area between the img tags but without spaces.

    2. not sure about the animated avatars, I dont have any experiences with making animated images.

This is the current code I am using to attempt to link the image :

    <a href="http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z150/wanderingauthor/?action=view&current=ForumAvatar.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z150/wanderingauthor/ForumAvatar.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Does anyone see anything I need to add (or take away?)

You need to resize your animated avatar yourself to at most 80x80. If you upload a larger one, the site resizes it but makes it static.

And html is not allowed here, you need to use BBCode in the way Eon posted it.

Use the "[ ]" keys instead of the "< >" keys.

    so it would be [IMG]

    <a href="http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z150/wanderingauthor/?action=view&current=ForumAvatar.jpg" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

Still, nothing. Thank you for your help so far...I know it's a pain but if you could help me further, it would be greatly appreciated :)

Which part of "html is not allowed" don't you understand? :) Put this in your signature:
    HTML:
    [img]http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z150/wanderingauthor/ForumAvatar.jpg[/img]

Avatar sizes are limited, and I've only gotten one .GIF avatar working, and it was a simplified version of the Marine running from the Starcraft 2 site.

Your avatar is animated for me.

Aslong as they are under the filesize limit they will work fine.

Sadly, despite my complaints, our admin wwill not allow HTML in posts, despite the BBCode this software uses having several glaring holes (tables don't exists)

You have to use BB code. If you ever need to know what the tags are just click at the bottom where it says BBcode is on, it will give you a table of tags.

On a side note what is your avatar?
