Okay so heres my system in a nutshell

    E8400 @3.0ghz
    4gb of DDR2 800mhz ram (Kingston)
BFG TECH 9800GTX+ 55nm OC (760 core) (1885 Shader) (1125 memory) factory stock
    650W Corsair TX PSU
    650i mobo

all hardware is about 2 years old except the 9800gtx+ which is only about a week old since i bought it because my 8800GTS 512 overheated thanks to 360hours of COD:MW2

Now however the 9800 is at very nice temps due to the 55nm chip. 41-43C Idle fan set to 55% and it never passes over 65C under loads.

Soooooo on to the problem.... whenever i load up starcraft 2 and start up single player and watch the cutscens/cinematics i get *pink+white+black* squares popping in randomly some in rows etc every second. Game is playable but its annoying to see these intruders. Even ingame when im actually playing they show up all be it milder than when watching cutscenes they still persist. I have uninstalled drivers installed new ones, tried old ones etc. Nothing has worked for me... now im back to 258.96 which are currently the latest ones for me.

I assume its a drivers problem? Does anyone else experience this?

One thing worth noting is in Battlefield Bad Company 2 i also get flashes on the top left of my screen and a fairly large cyan colored square in the middle of my screen but these are on very rare occassions and they are hardly a bother to me. SC2 on the other hand is a nuiscance =(

Post a DxDiag dump of your system. To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

What virus scanner are you running? Also, do you have any screenshots you can post (and upload to somewhere like tinypic.com) to show what the machine is doing?

    Here is the dxdiag

and hmmm screenshots would be hard to obtain because the flickers are very quick ive started to notice now however i only see black lines and squares flickering on ocassions on random locations of the screen... what else is interesting to mention is i can run the game on ultra with occassional fps dips below 30 frames yet this game doesnt look better than C&C3 o_O I feel like there is a lot of optimization to be done and nvidia also has to work on making drivers play nice with the game cause right now there have been no new drivers for my card after the games release hoping soon there will be

So i reinstalled COD:MW2 tonight and cranked it to max settings extra and AA as far is it could go ingame @ 1680x1050

The verdict? Ran smooth as butter without a single artifact.... this i guess eliminates PSU failure, overheating, faulty gpu and it seems to me just means poor support by Nvidia/Blizz to make the game run better without bugs in a month or so we'll be seeing new drivers for sure and same goes for Bad Company 2 game is fairly new and has a tricky engine so adjusting to it takes even longer tho im not complaining the game runs well and im satisfied enough its just starcraft 2 thats giving me a headache

Hmm... what is the make and model of your motherboard? The chipset itself doesn't provide enough information, and the DxDiag isn't pulling the information. Video driver appears to be installed correctly.

Only driver that needs updating is your Realtek sound driver, and that will offer no solution to this.

I can't exactly tell if your chipset drivers are the latest or not. These are the newest drivers available.

The BFG was a poor choice for a replacement (if you bought it new). BFG recently went under as a company, and if the card is borked, there is nothing backing it that can get the card repaired. If you bought it from a retailer then I'd return it ASAP saying it doesn't work, and get a non BFG replacement (The GTS 250 would be equivalent). The card may not be the issue, but this is a warning I'll give you to take into consideration.

The motherboard is an Asus P5N-E SLI 650i and yea i have those 15.51 drivers installed

Funny i always thought BFG Tech was the best choice for graphics cards or i guess they used to be since i have noticed on newegg they are all pretty much gone so best choice would be an EVGA brand.

Unfortunately im stuck with this card. I bought it on ebay used for $85 which is a pretty nice deal considering 2 years ago i bought my 8800GTS 512 for 200ish lmao

Although i bought the card used it came very well packaged and had no damage at all and runs great.

Like i said MW2 runs perfectly fine averaging 60+ fps most of the time. The devs did a great job on the game but decided to be assholes and not include Dedicated servers.
