The new blue-gray Terran Advisor/Adjutant looks a lot better than the bizarre green one that was before. The battle parts of the vid are very smooth. Love the Siege Tank and Marauder attack animations.

Honestly I can't stand the quality... off-screen cam + youtube compression UGH.

    NEED HD!

otherwise, looking good. I wish there were hundreds of these so I could cycle through them to hold my off 'till release.

EDIT: just watched again, and noticed that the animated portrait for the terran buildings is looking SO much better now. I thought it looked incredibly ugly in the previous vids and now it's all smooth and pretty :)

I like the animation for the tank. It looks like an ordinary tank when in normal mode, and the blasts look so real in siege mode.

The attack for the hydra is a lot more noticable now, looks like a whitish-green lazer, which I assume is an acid spray. I would still love to see the hydra use its claws when close enough for melee fighting though.

Does anyone know what that floating, greenish zerg building is at the base's entrance? The closest thing I could think of is the spire.

Nice find, the game looks better and better.

@Eon: the things that were firing whitish-green lazer are the Roaches ;) 90% sure of it:D that's their attack animation.

The motion of siege tanks looks appalling, SC2 looks less attractive and more substandard with each gameplay video. They didn't even bother with the exit animations of units when they are finished, they just appear outside. Check out Tiberium Wars to see the difference.

The game is still not finished. If you were to draw a picture, you wouldn't start with the colours and the details, you would leave them to the very end.

Now stop wasting everyone's time with your constant *****ing and GTFO.

Really, looks realistic to me. The animation s already much better than Sc1, and they aren't even working much on unit animation yet. Just because your a fanboy for another RTS, that doesnt give you the right to bash another RTS made by a different company.

Why should they have exit animations? SC1 didnt, and Blizzard wants people to have a SC feel when playing SC2. All the exit animation would do is make it take longer fo you to be able to use and move the unit, which is very bad since you need them as quickly as possble when fighting another player. Also, it would give the other player a chance to see whats comming out of it and react accordingly if they are close enough.

JB, Having exit animations is more stupid than not having them. Why? Because in TW, the unit that is done can't be controlled or damaged until it has left the building completely. How much sense does that make?
"Oh, look. The enemy is rolling out a tank. Let's wait until it's completely outside before we attack it:"

In games like Starcraft there's no guessing when a unit is viable to something.

how so? If I was attacking a base and saw a tank rolling out of a factory, I'd send some of my my army there to kill it the moment it leaves before it could kill anything.

All exit animations would do is give your opponent a few seconds to know exactly whats being made. Anyways, buildings already have animations when training units without giving away exactly whats being trained, and that's good enough for me.

I really can't decide if you're a troll of if you're for real. You basically just barge into topics saying "C&C IS SO MUCH BETTER BECAUSE MY OPPINION IS BETTER THAN YOURS!"

It's funny how C&C3 is such a "new gen, top of the line" RTS, when the original Starcraft has outsold it a couple thousand or more times over and you don't see entire countries basically revering it as if it was thier national sport. It's funny how you don't see C&C3 TV channels and people making a wealthy living by playing it.

I d'loaded TW 3 days ago just to see if I would like it more than SC. You can guess what conclusion I came to. Thus if SC2 improves on SC in any way (which it will inevitably do), I will obviously enjoy SC2 more than both aforementioned games, especially more than TW. It all comes down to what you enjoy. Not graphics, not exit animations. Fun.

Though, IMO, TW looks ugly as hell (running at highest settings).

BTW you attack rationalization like it's the incorrect way to go about debating. Rationalization is a human trait necessary for our survival, and especially necessary for debate. Stop it.

OK, enough of this mindless ridiculous fanboy syndrome. I'm done here.
I'll come again to this forum when SC2 comes out to give my detailed review.
