lol yes, i suppose you could just post another website that is doing the same thing and be all lazy about it .. I wish i had a place were i could post this stuff thats more central and official for our forum. Something that shows up on our homepage or something..
What the hell are you talking about? I post links like those because StarCraftWire.net comments on the blue quotes and I'm sure some people would like to read those. You didn't even comment on them. You just copied and pasted; therefore, there is something to be gained from my links. I do this in almost every topic. You should be used to this by now. I don't even bother posting game play related topics here (I do that at SCLegacy) because they never get responded to. I've let you do this. Don't act like I'm trying to get in your way. This is not a competition and I'm not trying to reign on your parade or draw attention away from you. I warned you in our IMs not to get a big head and you agreed with me. Most of the time we aren't even doing anything. We're just copy and pasting news from a site that did all the work. That's nothing to be proud of. But, still in almost every topic I make you find some way to try to compete with me. I make a topic and you've got to say "AHH! You checked the site while I was at school" or "Darn! I was just typing this!" No one cares. I feel no honor or glory when I post links to the work of others. You shouldn't either. I've never gone through any significant trouble worthy of legitimately feeling proud about what I did. I just checked the news and found something worth discussing. I did nothing. They did it all for us. Sometimes you check it before me and I sometimes I do it before you. It's no big deal. This is not a competition.
I wasnt thinking it as such, sorry if it came across as that. I didnt see the comments i was just trying to get them all posted in a decent format before i went in and commented on them sorry. i also would have participated in any discussions spreading from them.
It's okay. I just wanted to make sure you didn't really think I was being lazy and trying to do the same thing you do. But, back on topic, I'm reading the quotes now and will comment on anything interesting. Let's not go on anymore about this, please.
Alright its cool, i belive i was trying to sound sarcastic but that isnt really protrayed well over the internet is it.. haha. About the Name change of the nighthawk: Im not sure i really like the raven name but i bet they're gonna change it again anyways. About the thor size: I actually thought the thor got bigger.. but its nice they made it dropable.. i wonder if it takes up the entire drop ship ;P About the Supply depots: haha i kinda want to trap someone in a choke point with supply depots that i can just raise up, if they just walk over them and not pay any attention. and then bombard them with siege tanks epic. Sorry for reigning over the information highway, i think if possibly we should try to procure a system like SC2Pods which automatically puts the blue posts on our homepage and allows us to comment about them.
1) I like the idea of the HSM improvements. The Nighthawk scenario was like something I proposed at SCLegacy and I agree that it would promote micro that would be enjoyable and challenging. 2) I still hate the name Raven. I don't care if it doesn't fit the unit perfectly. At least Nighthawk isn't lame. This is probably the only time I've flat-out disagreed with Blizzard. Before, I didn't like certain things but at least I could understand their reasoning behind it. 3) I like the idea of using Supply Depots to separate units. Supply Depots just got a whole lot more awesome. I love those things. Best building in an RTS EVAAAAR! 4) Using Nullifiers to stop SCV from repairing will help from making the Terran just turtlers all game. I like that as well. StarCraft 2 is looking to be more awesome each day! @Seradin: No hard feelings, bro I hope we can still IM and be StarCraft friends ... and play some games once StarCraft 2 comes out
Oh yeah, im about to break for summer so i should have plenty of time for the beta, starcraft 1 and starcraft 2. right now im writing some epic essays while posting SC2 stuff.. the sc2 stuff is sadly taking priority . I was trying to think of new names for the nighthawk because i too dont like the raven name.. maybe the Helix oh i like that one.. kinda constructiony but also combaty.. haha idk. i kinda like helix actually.. though it doesnt look like a Helix.. lol edit: where is everyone else.. o.o these forums are getting emptier which is strange.. because beta is right around the corner.
I'm a huge fan of the HSM warning icon. Given the expense of hydralisks (a likely target of the HSM) it seems you can force at least one hydralisk out of the zerg forces each time (and therefore protect the Raven). The old non-warning HSM was overpowered IMO; I wonder if this is defanging it too much. Nothing really new about the supply depot. I wouldn't expect stat changes outside of the campaign; the only change I might expect is an armor boost while burrowed. I'm not too worried about turtle terrans vs protoss; as soon as the protoss get a robotics facility, they can use a phase prism to scout for stalkers and set up warp-ins. (If the terran player is using siege tanks, warp-in zealots next to them or next to their buildings. Mwhahah!) On the medivac ... great for gameplay, not so great for lore. I want to use regular medics in the campaign (they're available there) and use medivacs in multiplayer. I'd love to see the loading animation for the thor; I guess they go inside and don't get carried outside. (Seriously, do they disassemble?)
Bad news guys.. they changed the Nullifiers name.. its now the disruptor.. which i guess is decent. Post: Reply: And also the thor does fill up the entire medvac Link: http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=17367748641&postId=173662573997#173662573997
