After playing for awhile i have gotten better at certain aspects of the game, however, there is something that still perplexes me till date.

Random 4v4 matches are terribly difficult to win. Though i admit that i have had my fair share of victories, more often, i find myself with severe losses. E.g. 21/80 win loss ratio.

Some matches are attributed to my lack of ability to keep up with the rest of the opponents, but i find that my enemies are usually very very well coordinated in their strikes.

Making a team is one solution but i haven't been able to locate like-minded individuals who would join me. And Random 4v4s are becoming a pain to go through, i would probably re-locate to 3v3s or 2v2s eventually should the win/loss ratio hits the limit.

Nonetheless, this is more or less a rant and if anyone should take offense to this, i apologize in advance.

just because you selected 4v4 radom doesn not mean the other team is completely random.

I found this out playing with 2 buddies...the leader had it on 4v4 and it dumped us into a 4v4 random match with one other person on our team.

Needless to say anytime you have guys playing with each other tehy are going to be more coordinated than true random.

What jamus said. xvsx is all about coordination when x>1. If the enemy team is on skype or something and you're with randoms and not using the chat to coordinate attacks then you're probably on the way to losing.

Keep in mind that these brackets are for fun and don't get frustrated over loses(well, don't get frustrated over loses anywhere, just try to learn from them)...

    Yeah...Cause I don't think I've one a 1v1 match since my placement matches.

Not saying I'm the greatest (or even a good) player but it seems like I either make 1 critical mistake (like one time playing TvP and didn't account for DT's who proceeded to kill my base because I had no detection and not enough energy for a sensor sweep).

I keep trying in 1V1 and hope that I get better in at least small ways with each match. I also try to play with rotating races to get good enough with each (since I doubt I'll ever be elite with one) to play as random to give me a minute or two advantage over my opponent.

Play with friends. I know you said you have trouble getting 3 other players together. Maybe play 2v2 with one friend? As has been said, there's no distinction between 4v4 RT and 4v4 AT like there was before. You can have a three-person party and play a 4v4, and it'll be you three, one random dude you don't know, and four opponents. They could be a four-man team, four complete strangers, you have no idea.

This means that there's a huge advantage to playing with people you know.

I could be wrong here. Maybe if you play 4v4 with a four-person party, you get only arranged teams. I know for a fact (I've done it) that a three-person party gets a random buddy when they play 4v4.

Either way, play with someone you know so that you have an idea of what they like to do. They're zerg and you're terran? OK, maybe you should build more medivacs than you normally would, since their entire army can benefit from medivac healing. You can plan this stuff together if you're used to playing as a team, and you can get more interesting (and effective!) strategies that way.

Thank you all for your suggestions, they are very encouraging to me and i think i'll try what you have suggested above.

Its a little difficult not to get frustrated when the losses are at least 4x of your victories. I think maybe i might publish a notice for a team in this forum if that isn't much of an issue. However, i think i'll go back to it for awhile longer and see how everything goes.

If there are any other suggestions you would like to make, please don't hesitate, i'm open to all ideas. Thanks and cheers. :)

Hey man, like I said, my 1v1 score is at least that bad.

But F-it...I'm here to have fun, not worry about being the GOAT or anything.
