Just making this post to see what tactic people use during these team games.

My favourite tactics to use are either a dt harrasment to prevent expansion then let my team mate's do the steamrolling or my other tactic is a collosus with stalker build whilst my allie build's an air force.

One question aswell do dt,ghost or banshee with cloak upgrade work in in leagues above silver ?

I would say that invisible units do not work as well when there are more players present because on that team of 3 or 4, only one of them can invest in mobile detection (one protoss player with observers for example) and that negates the benefits of the invisible units.

One strategy that works fairly well overall is having one protoss player mass void rays while the other three just do whatever it takes to defend. void rays, when they reach critical mass, can eat armies that are worth much more than they are, and I think somebody found that it takes less than a minute for a large number of void rays to completely wipe a base.

I've actually done the voids tactic quite a lot, normally one team mate will mass infantry with upgrades to demolish the air force's, another team mate builds a collosus or immortal army to deal with the heavy armor and infantry and i just come in once the air is down and finish the fight off.

The only downside to this is when im playing 4vs.4 random(bronze) the void tactic is so popular that every1 ends up doing it and ends up getting counter by anti air like hydra's :/

I usually have one person go fast air, then the other two turtle and bring in the support with infantry. When there is a sign of blood, the other two bring in the rear and back up what's been started with banshees/voids/mutas.

    Works for me fairly well.

I find having 3 rush and 1 tech is good. Or just all 4 rush. You can easily take down 2-3 players and the last player isn't much of a threat vs. 4 players.

Not necessarily. One of the friends I play 4v4s with plays Protoss a lot, and one time he rushed DTs along with some Hydras I had been massing. It worked suprisingly well. The key to using any cloaked unit is to have something else accompany it (preferably in large numbers) as a distraction. By the time the opponent finally cuts down the "bait" your DTs/Banshees/Ghosts will have had plenty of time to do their damage.

Mass t1 and attack first. Works just about every time.

wih 3v3 that i play with my friendsi have found that i go pretty focused army that is not well balenced at all if it was a 1v1 ( i typically use collosus and chargelots so i have no air defence at all ) which is why i find those games somewhat interesting its been working out pretty well, with 2 protoss if you go collosus and phoneix/void you dont really have anything that can beat you

This is basically what happens in 90% of the matches in 3v3 diamond. Usually my team's plan is to stop the t1 timing rush and have higher tech, then steamroll once our tech is up.
