We all have heard about blizzards secret name, but what do you think it is?, hehe the first ones for kicks.

I searched for a topic like this but couldnt find any..

I have a sneaking suspension that they are working on something entirely new

 

like a new franchise?

 

Ummmmm don't you think this should be in the other blizzard games section?
Anyway, diablo 3 is the most likely as it is the only blizzard francise that hasn't gotten a major update yet, but i selected wc4 instead by mistake and now i can't correct it.......

 

umh yeh added more options, that and i heard from a blizzard interview that it was warcraft movie but now, if i can only find the interview..

Blizzard Announces Warcraft Movie

Just before the annual E3 convention, Blizzard Entertainment announced a partnership with Legendary Pictures to develop a live-action film based on the Warcraft universe. "The Warcraft Universe is possessed of such a rich mythology and, as such, serves as an ideal platform as we go about translating that universe into what we intend to be a major event film."

For those worried about another crappy vidoe game to movie release need not worry. Legendary Pictures' first film was Batman Begins, directed by Chris Nolan, which was a successful blockbuster hit. Future releases include Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer and M. Night Shymalan's Lady in the Water.

No further details about the upcoming Warcraft movie, including director, cast and targeted release date were announced. But again this is Blizzard, they don't release anything without it being of the highest of quality and I expect this movie to be the same.

Can't help but think it's Diablo related, most likely Diablo 3.

 

It probably isn't a movie because Blizz is a game company and movies are done by movie companies. A for D3 Thats what I am hoping for but Im not sure about it anymore. Remember a bunch of Devs left to form Flagship and are making Hellgate:London.

I know I heard rumors of a cgi warcraft movie a few months ago. Big audience/money there too. Thats where I put my tally.

A new Diablo would be great. It could be old school B net style or a MMO. Either case is unlike imo; as it would detract from the WoW cash cow. Thats the last thing Blizz (or at least their parent companies) would want. In fact, I believe Wrath of the Lich King will hit within the same month as SC2 for the same fear.

WC4? I feel a great deal of the SC2 team would be involved with that. AKA no time in the near future.

Wild Card: Blizz never really called SC Ghost 100% canceled. Least not the last I had heard.

BTW, they could make your WOW a blizzard MMORPG accaount, so you can also play WOSC AND WOD, w00t

 

Diablo 3, Starcraft Ghost, or Warcraft 4 are the most likely.

 

the warcraft movie is supposed to be live action, so thats not what team3 is doing. I reckon its a new IP

 

Maybe Ghost. Though it would need to be redone for the nex gen platforms. Plus they would have to do it in house since the company who was making Ghost tanked

I hope it's Warcraft 4. I really like Warcraft 3 and I hope they release
a sequel.

 

I see Ghost coming out as a surprise, hopefully for the new systems and PC. Besides Ghost, I don't see anything else that's possible, maybe a new franchise but com'on, they don't need another one. They've tapped almost every genre (I'll include ghost) so the only thing I can see now is them perfecting their FPS game Ghost, maybe Diablo three, or something to counter all the new companies from ex-Bliz employees.

 

If Ghost comes out it should play like PlanetSide.

 

Ah yes that would be nice, like World of Warcraft with better, starcraft 2 like graphics for the computer with planetside like gameplay where you join a race, zerg, protoss, or terran and fight with weapons to control points, etc. this could be multiplayer.

 

I'd love to drive around in a Siege Tank screaming war songs into my headset at my team.

 

Yeh having a mode were its battlecruiser verse carrier the ships being the command centers with you being able to leave in fighters.
