3G and then Wireless issue on Mac and Windows

    Hi All,

I install the game on my MAc. With a 3G card connected, I can connect to Battle.net and all is ok.

Using my Mac's Airport I later connect to my home wireless network. When I try to logon, it accepts my username but then look for Battle.net and indicates that it can't find it. However, normal internet browsing via this Wireless connection is fine.

It seem that SC2 look for the local connection and does not want to use a different network as the one that was used for the install.

Can this be changed? Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    MD

Another thing, unless you want a 3000$ bill, I wouldn't game over a US 3G network. Overages man.

If you have an unlimited plan, it's very unlikely to hit the 5GB "unlimited" cap on 3G just gaming, I didn't in WoW, and I used to be on ~40 hours a week, didn't even get close, actually :p

Just don't download or stream TV shows or movies, and you should be fine, and there are plenty of ways to check your usage.

    All,

I have the same issue on my Windows Desktop. When you say disable 3G on Windows what do you mean and how do I do it?

    Regards,

    MD

I think they mean disconnecting the device? You can also go into network connections, and disable the modem from there, but it shouldn't be an issue, I play through my phone sometimes. Something else is wrong.

    Hi Boogie,

Anything that jumps to mind that might cause this?

There is a FAQ sticky written by TheXev that details which ports to forward, I would start there. I'd google / link a guide for you, but I don't know what router you are using ;)
