is it worth buying the game with a radeon 3470 graphics card? can someone provide hands-on experience whether it is worth playing with a radeon 3470 on a notebook? ( have a good cpu, t9400) i suppose i would have to play on low and i dont know whether it is worth it
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook, which has very poor graphics capability, but i used to play the beta on it It works fine on low graphics and it isn't really that bad Be careful on battlenet though, as notebook's will tend to get high ping hope that helped
To keep it simple I just looked up the 3dmark05 benchmarks just to give you an idea the power of your card... a Radeon 3470 has a benchmark of 2670 1 of my 9800 GTX+'s has a bench of 12,480..... I only need 1 card to run ultra settings and be lag free.... My backup card is a 8600 GT benchmark of 4236 Just having the 8600 in medium was aggravating to play... So to answer your question... MAYBE the game will physically run but its not going to be a fun experience with the lag your gonna get
It''s probably better then what I got. I run Starcraft 2 on my triple core desktop with a integrated ati raedon HD3200 graphics set On low settings.
My graphics card died in early July, so while I was waiting for the RMA, I had to play games on my integrated HD3300 (or so). The new card didn't get here until about 3 or 4 days after the release of SC2. In between, I was able to play on Low just fine. Granted, it's not a notebook, and I have a Phenom II x4 cpu, but the video card held up just fine.
